CUr v MOTION ditt V Johann and Ran Meyer spent two weeks In New York City at the 100th Anniversary of Dance Masters of America, of which Johann is a National Director. They traveled there by Amtrak. From New York they flewPanAm toMelbourne, Australia, where they visited for 28 days with Raes dad, BobWeatherill who had his 87th birthday while they were there. They also visited her brother and family, Roy and Margaret Weatherill, Tammy, John and Scott. It was the first visit back home for Rae in 32 years. On the way they visited in Sydney, Australia, stopped in New Zealand, and visited in Honolulu fbr two days before returning to the Next year they plan to visit Johann's family in South Africa. Randee and Mallna Mellor traveled to West Point last Thursday to spend the weekend with her parents, Bill and Vernieee Warren. While there they celebrated the birthday of Randee's mom and enjoyed the Ice Capades. U. The Milford Volunteer Fire Dept, a work meeting last Saturday. They spent the day repairing a leak in the water tank of the new fire had truck. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Beard had their son Leland, his children Kathy. Diane, Leland Jr., Bruce and Mike here for a visit. Beta Upsilon held their first meeting of the year. Everyone was excited about all the fun actl-vltbeing planned. The first being a car wash on October 6. Beta Upsilon members will be very busy this year, preparing for the Beta Sigma Phi State Convention which will be held in St. George. Milfords Beta Upsilon Chapter will be one of the host chapters. Blake Ogden celebrated his first His grandbirthday recently. Gwen and Jack Ogden, and parents, great -- grandma celebrated with cake and ice cream at his house. Then the next day he went up to Sail Lake and celebrated again with his grandparents there. Kevin, Kaye Lynn, Charlesy and Blake recently returned form atrip to Salt Lake and then on to Boise, Idaho to see Kaye Lynns sister, Janet and Mark Short. They had a lovely visit and were able to see many of the beautiful sights in Southern Idaho. es CALL 387-26- 72 or 387-28- 81 13, 1984 Page 5j Computer, chop classes offered A lovely afternoon was had for everyone who attended the First and Second Wards Relief Society Fashion show. The name of the show was "As Time Goes By. Besides the fashion show, many displays of crafts, old clothes, quilts and many other interesting things could be seen. A beautiful, very old, real fur coat belonging to Leah Pullem was also shown. Refreshments were also served. Among the Relief Society Ladies that participated were: Vicki Carter, giving the welcome and prayer, Pat Nelson provided the piano accompaniment, narrators were Sherry Jensen and Wilma Coates, singing the song "The Alphabet Song were Larry Barnes, Swede Johnson and Junior Davis. Deanne, Patti and Mary Jo Holm sang "Dream a Little Dream of Me. The Milford C loggers also provided some entertainment. The doggers were Jennifer Whittaker, Jacque Schow, Sherrie Wiseman and Melissa Bridge, under the direction of Norm Lamb. Larry Barnes sang "Easter Parade during the casual sprotswear demonstration. Larry also sang "You are so Beautiful during the Hats on Parade. Pat Nelson played several piano selections during the wedding drqss display.,... Norm and Dixie Lamb performed a waltz to New York, New York. Sherry Jensen and Gladys Whittaker sang "Memory Lane for the formals show. Acknowledgements and benediction were given by Maureen Yardley. All in all it was a great show and a big success. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thanks to the First and Second Ward Relief Society members for a job well done. Heidi Puffer became the proud mother of a baby girl this week. The lovely little lass was born on Sunday, September 9. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. and will be named Alexis Machelle. Grandparents are Bob and Jill Puffer.
