Show JEEP PATROL 'RESCUES' STRANDED MOTORISTS IN INDIAN PEAK AREA Beaver County is one of the smaller counties of the state, but their Jeep Patrol is the third largest in membership mem-bership and in available vehicles. And they "get their men" when they go on search and rescue. Last Sunday a dozen vehicles and 35 possemen turned out for a mock search and rescue that turned into an actual rescue. The "pigeons," Jim Lowe and Joe Bradshaw, both of Beaver, drove a pickup truck into the Indian Peak country and after using evasive tactics to make the search more diffi- ' cult, became stuck on a mountain moun-tain road, with mud miring their truck up to the running boards. They were relieved when the first Jeep Patrolers, Fddie and Ken Patterson, drove up to pull them from the bog. The search was directed by Sheriff Mel Tait and Deputy Sheriff Dave Robinson. The Jeepsters were led by John Jimenez, Milford; Howard Pry-or, Pry-or, Minersville; and John Riley, Ri-ley, Beaver, all lieutenants of the organization. In Pine Valley Val-ley they were separated into three groups by Sheriff Tait, j Continued on Back Page 1 I HERE'S MORE ABOUT JEEP PATROL Continues from Page One v. ho assigned vehicles to traverse tra-verse the three major access loads leading into the search area, and comb all connecting roads.
