Show BOARD SELLS BONDS AT MEET The Beaver County Board of Education sold $700,000 in bonds to the low bidder, Continental Con-tinental Illinois National Bank in Chicago, Illinois at their bid opening at their regular meeting meet-ing on February 7 at interest rates ranging from 4.20 to 4.90. The bonds were authorized by an election on October 10th last year for the purchase and building of new gymnasiums' in each end of the county. Other bidders besides the winner were Continental Bank & Trust Co., Salt Lake, Bos-worbh-Sullivan, First Security Bank-Dane Coloman, United Bank of Calif., E. F. Hutton & Co. and Merrill Lynch. Clark W. Smith reported that he attended the meeting with the County Commissioners on the 5-County h.ealth and sanitary sani-tary service district. He noted that the State of Utah will appropriate ap-propriate $50,000 for the five county area. However, it must have a director which would be a medical doctor, who would have a salary estimated at $23,000 per year for 11 months service. Other business included: Discussed dress standards at BHS. Several people had contacted beard members about their girls having purchased clothes and not being able to wear them. It was suggested the people talk to the principal princi-pal to get the dress code correct. cor-rect.
