Show THE LADY. TRAINMEN held thsir regular business and social so-cial meeting Tuesday evening in the IOOF Hall. Hoste:ses for the social were Cleo Labrum and Helen Leech. Prizes at bridge were awarded to Ruby James and Marjorie Mecham, and at bridge, to Floise" White and Dorothy Fotheringham. Joan Holland won the cut prize. THE UNION PACIFIC OU Timers held their monthly party par-ty on March 16 in the organization's organi-zation's clubhouse. A pot luck dinner was served, followed by an evening of bingo. The committee for the evening eve-ning included Mr. and Mrs. Nate Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Mau-rice Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. William Ashworth, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mills and Mr. and Mrs. Glen. Barnes. Special invited guests were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Prodzin-ski Prodzin-ski of Milford, Mrs. Walter Kerker of Rollins, Wyo., a sister sis-ter of Mrs. Volney Wise, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gaughen of Denver, Colo. THE AMERICAN LEGION Auxiliary March meeting was held at the home of President Patricia Williams, with Mrs. Barbara Brox assisting with the entertainment. Mrs. Ethel Smith talk to the ladies on the welfare program oC the organization, relating several instances in which the Legion and Auxiliary had as-pii'ied, as-pii'ied, but withholding names. She also discussed the Veterans Veter-ans Hospitals. Mrs. Lillian Anderson, Civil Defense chairman, announced that the Legion Auxiliary will sponsor a medical self-help training course, to begin in April. One thousand American Legion Memorial Poppies were distributed to the members, to be sold about Memorial Day. A poppy poster contest will be conducted in the high school under direction of Mrs. Alice Baxter. The Auxiliary will participate in the Easter Seal Drive, making mak-ing the annual house to house canvass. Mrs. Ardath Outzen announced an-nounced winners of the essay contest conducted in the junior THE VETERANS of Foreign Wars Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. Theresa Pitch-fcrth Pitch-fcrth last Thursday evening. Two hundred VFW Poppies are to be ordered, which will be sold in Milford in May. Election of new officers will be an order of business for the April meeting. Members present were Mrs. Lillian Atkin, , president; Mrs. Magdalena White, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Sadie Griffith, Mrs. Susan Glenn and Mrs. Hannah Smith. Mrs. Vern Albert . has returned re-turned to Milford after spending spend-ing the winter with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Olson in Richfield.
