Show THE TOWN BOARD HOLDS SESSION The town board held a rather interesting special session, in the office of Clerk .Ingols last Wednesday night. The board seldom meets on "regular meet- lng nights but assembles a quo- rum on the street and con- venes on the spur of the mo- ment any old night. Among those present at the last meet- ing were A. P. McKeon, who has been acting as health of- fleer and doing some effective work. He has taken an auto agency now and tendered his resignation before the board meeting began. He is going to lead the simple life. A rather "heated" discussion be- tween Mayor Ralph Pitchforth and the retiring health officer was the feature of the session. Mr. Pitchforth objected to ac- tion taken by the officer in car- rying out the instructions of the. board, when he turned off the water leaking from the Pitchforth place weBt of Main street and through the cattle corrals. The action was taken after due notice was given to "abate the nuisance," it is claimed. The board allowed bills to the amount of about $500. The preliminary survey for sewering district No. 2 which will include the south and west- em portions of Milford was or- dered. After some discussion the hoard decided to take up the matter of radical changes in the peddler's license ordinance 4 on April 17. 4 The board adjourned about 4 2 o'clock Thursday morning. 4 |
