Show OBITUARY Joseph A. Manzione Funeral services for Joseph Jo-seph A. "Dick" Manzione, 81, Beaver church and civic leader, who died Saturday in an auto accident, was held Wednesday in the Beaver LDS 1st -3rd ward in Beaver. Mr. Manzione was postmaster post-master of Beaver from 1948 to 1964. He was Beaver City manager from 1928 to 1933 and was Beaver police chief from 1939 to 1941. He was chairman of the Beaver Red Cross more than 20 years, beginning in 1945. Mr. Manzione was born Jan. 17, 1894, in Pittsburg, Pa., to James and Rose De-Fell De-Fell Manzione. He married Alice Me ssinger in Beaver in 1920. She died In 1921. He married LaPreil White, Sept. 8, 1925, in the St. George LDS Temple. Mr. Manzione is survived by his wife of Beaver;. five sons, Joseph Jr., Alexandria, Va.; Gordon R., Tooele; Frank D., Seattle, Wash.; Richard A., Cedar City; Larry Lar-ry D., Pittstown, N. J.; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandson; great-grandson; a brother and a sister, Anthony G., andMary Katheryn Capone, both of Pittsburg, Pa. Services were under the direction of Olpin Mortuary with burial in the Mountain View Cemeter, Beaver. Graveside rites by American Legion Post 32. |
