Show r j. . .V- kJ I Ronnie Banks RON BANKS KILLED IN CAR-TRUCK CAR-TRUCK CRASH Ronald Bowman Banks, 29, son of Mr. and Mrs, R. E. Banks, died in the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning of injuries in-juries suffered in an auto accident one mile east of Minersville on Utah Highway High-way 21. Cause of death was internal injuries in the pelvic pel-vic region, complicated by head injuries. Mr. Banks was driving east on U-21 when his car clipped the front end of a pickup truck driven by Carl R. Mc-Mullin, Mc-Mullin, 42, of Hurricane. Mr. McMullin was driving a truck owned by his employer, Mendenhall Men-denhall Construction Co., engaged en-gaged in work on the Minersville Miners-ville flood control project. According to State Highway Patrolman Joseph D. Benson, Mr. McMullin, driving south, entered the highway from a side road. The Banks car struck the truck in the east-bound east-bound traffic lane, skidded sideways off the highway and rolled over. Mr. Banks was thrown out, and the car rolled over him. As Patrolman Benson, assisted as-sisted by Deputy Sheriff Patterson Pat-terson and Eddie Patterson, was placing Mr. Banks on a stretcher, the injured man talked with them and did not appear to be in too serious a condition. He died 10 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Funeral services will be conducted (it 1 p. m. Saturday in the Milford LDS Church. Friends may. call at the Southern Utah Mortuary from 7 to 9 p. m. Friday evening. Ronald Bowman Banks was born May 29, 1938, in Milford, to Ronald E. and Eva Bowman Banks. He married Linda Freeman of Ferron, Dec. 14, 1963, in Milford. He graduated from Milford High School in 1956. He was active in athletics ,and was a four-year letterman in football foot-ball and basketball. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was associated in management man-agement of a service station in Las Vegas for several years, and in December, 1966, purchased pur-chased the Sinclair service station from John Bcitz. He also had purchased the Hughes Apartment building on Main Street. Surviing are his widow; his parents, a grandmother, Mrs. Eva Bowman of Salt Lake, and a sister, Mrs. Dewey (Gerrie) Hawkins of Granada Hills, Calif. |
