' : I Y' " I Ljj. ,-jL , J Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jones THOMAS AND GOLDA JONES TO OBSERVE 50th ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Jones of Milford will observe their Golden Wedding Anniversary Anni-versary at an open house in the Milford LDS Cultural Hall, on Saturday, March 23. . The couple will be feted by their children from 8 to 11 p .m. They request no gifts. Dancing will be enjoyed, and a program is planned during the evening. Refreshments will be served. Mr. and Mrs. Jones were married March 20, 1918, in Parowan. The marriage was solemnized, and their children sealed to them, in the St. George Temple on Dec. 16, 1964. Thomas H. Jones was born Aug. 5, 1891, in Adamsville, to John G. and Mary Ann Griffiths Grif-fiths Jones. He attended Mur-deck Mur-deck Academy at Beaver. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad until he retired re-tired in 1960. Mr. Jones holds the position of Elder in the LDS Church. Mrs. Golda A. Jones was born July 12, 1903, in Adamsville, Adams-ville, to John T. and Cathyyn Griffiths Evans. In 1942 she and her husband moved to Milford. They have five children, John T. Jones, Mrs. Drucilla Bradshaw, Cecil D. Jones and Mrs. Reva Nelson, Milford; and . Mrs. Donna Cottrell, Salt Lake. They also have 22 grandchildren grandchil-dren and 8 great-grandchildren. One of their grandchildren, John Coy Jones, is serving an LDS mission in Belgium. Both their sons volunteered for military service during World War II, John serving 4 years and Cecil ZV2 years in the U. S. Army. Mr. and Mrs. Jones invite all their friends to attend the open house. |
