Show Judy Horton, Jimmy Bailey Wed in Impressive Rites In a Saturday evening ceremony, cere-mony, February 24, Miss Margaret Mar-garet Judy Horton became the bride of James E. Bailey, at the home of the bride's parents. par-ents. An uncle of Miss Horton, G. A. Horton, performed the ceremony cer-emony in a setting of pink and white flower clusters backed with silver candelabra, arranged in an altar effect. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Claude Horton Hor-ton and Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey. An open house was held immediately im-mediately following the ceremony. cere-mony. As the radiant bride greeted guests she was attired in a floor length princess style Cahill original gown of Chan-tilly Chan-tilly lace and satin. The empire em-pire waist line featured a full skirt held out with a satin hoop underskirt. The long tapered lace sleeves fastened with three tiny buttons and a crown of silk organdy with white flower petals released the full gathered finger-tip veil of illusion. For Something Old she wore an amethyst lav-elliere lav-elliere of her grandmother Zabriskie. She carried a white orchid caught to a spray of shaded pink roses, In gowns of pink sheaths and wearing pink necklaces, and carrying nosegays of pink and white carnations and pom pom chrysanthemums were bridal attendants Mrs. Boyd Horton, matron of honor; and Misses Helen Jean Gillins and Sallie Lee Williams, bridesmaids. brides-maids. Boyd Horton performed best man duties. Mrs. Horton and Mrs. Bailey wore floral printed dresses and camelia corsages. Aunts of the bride, Mrs. F. A. Bingham and Mrs. G. A. Horton, poured from a table covered with a beautiful pink Damask tablecloth. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated with white icing, clusters of shaded pink roses and silver leaves, topped with the traditional bride and groom standing in an arch of bells and butterflies. The cake was made by Mrs. Horton and decorated by Mrs. Delmer Kirk. After a wedding trip, the newlyweds are now at home in Salt Lake City. Out of town relatives attending attend-ing the ceremony and open house included Mr. and Mrs. James Walter Blackner of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Mit-chel Mit-chel Stoddard, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Covington and Mr. and Mrs. Duke Bradford, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Dan Gillies Gil-lies of Pocatello, Idaho, and friends Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rollins and Chester Miller of Salt Lake City. |
