Show Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Makin j JOAN PRYOR, THOMAS MAKIN EXCHANGE VOWS A hcautiful double-ring ceremony cer-emony was performed for Miss Joan Pryor and Mr. Thomas L. Makin on the evening of April 13th in the Mincrsville, LDS Chapel, by Bishop Milton Al-brecht. Al-brecht. A wedding dinner was served earlier, and a reception followed fol-lowed the ceremony. The couple stood under an arch adorned with orange and white gladioli and white satin ribbon bows. Banks of gladioli glad-ioli placed at each end of the arch enhanced the beauty. The new Mrs. Makin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard J. Pryor of Minersville. Mr. Makin is the son of Mrs. Joseph P. Makin of Pleasant Grove. In the bridal party were the matron of honor, Mrs. Adele Murdock; maid of honor, Miss Jetta Pearson; bridesmaids, Miss Janet Eyre, Miss Connie Smith, Miss Carol Jane Makin, Miss Gaye Pryor and Miss Jerry Eyre; the .best man, Merlin Mer-lin Makin; ushers Keith Makin, Stephen ' Williams, Charles Good, John Bonner, Steven Larsen and David Pryor; also the flower girl, Kristen Eyre, and ring bearer, Mike Makin. The radiant bride wore a white acetate lace and nylon full length gown. The fitted bodice was empire fashioned, enhanced with long pointed lace Juliet sleeves. The A-line skirt was of nylon, trimmed with a wide scalloped lace band. Two dainty peau de soi bows were arranged on the front and back of the waist, which complemented the effect. Her enchanting detachable lace overskirt gave the effect of a sweeping chapel train. The scalloped edged overskirt was attached to the front of the waistline showing a horizon panel of the nylon dress. Her bouffant tulle two-tiered elbow length veil was fastened to a pearled crown. She held a bridal 'bouquet of a dozen talisman tal-isman half-blown roses and each narrow satin ribbon streamer was caught to a rosebud. rose-bud. Out of town relatives attending attend-ing the wedding and reception included Mr. and Mrs. Sim Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Armstrong and Donald and Paula of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Dalton and Paul of Mesa, Ariz.; Fred Dalton, Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. Steve Williams and son Stephen, Mrs. Susan Atkin, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rollins, Mrs. James E. Price, Milford; Mrs. Sallie Lee Chaf-fin, Chaf-fin, Henderson, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pryor, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ogden, Tamara and Richard, Rich-ard, Beaver; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pryor, Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Byron Limb and Mr. and Mrs. John Bonner, Ely, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. Wade Hodge, Denny and Terry, Tooele; Mrs. Corine Yardley, Layton; Mrs. Joseph Makin, Carol Jane and Merlin; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Makin and family, Mrs. Ernest Makin, Mrs. Gladys Good and son Charles, all of Pleasant Grove; and Miss Marie Makin, Provo. The newlyweds left for San Francisco where they will make their home while he completes dental technician training. |
