Student body elections will be held the last two weeks in April. A student council party will be held at the Hong Kong Cafe in the near future. SCHOOL JUNIORS PLAN PROM The graduating seniors will continue to vote in the spring student body elections. That was the decision of the student council at their meeting Feb. 23, rejecting a proposal that the sixth graders be allowed to vote, but not the graduating seniors who would not be in school during the time the new officials held office. Other items of business discussed were: Student council pins and certificates, "M" Day, The Juniors are putting the final touches to plans for the Junior Prom. Last Thursday the boys were measured for their dinner jackets and were requested to have the $7 rental charge by March 5. Wendy Holm is Prom chairmen, and committee members are Joan Edwards, Keith Paul Roberts, Diane Gary Tomsik, Blaine Roberts, Vickl Grimshaw, Judy Whittaker and Marsha Culver. The girls were divided into groups and make different dishes so each girl can taste these unusual foods. Be fore the girls started to cook they wrote a research paper on the country in which the recipe originated. DEBATE ELIMINATIONS The debates in Miss Joseph's first and seventh period class- es are under way. The classes are divided into teams which debate until they suffer one loss. The winning teams from each class will debate for the championship and both teams will probably participate in the forensic meet in St. George late this month. The speech class is also getting ready for the forensic meet in Cedar City March 10. Topic for debate is "Resolved: That Nuclear Arms Should Be Controlled by an International Organization."
