WHEREAS, the value of the taxable property tn Beaver County has increased since the last general election of county officers to an amount exceeding $100,000,000., so that the law now requires that the office of Beaver County Clerk and the office of Beaver County Auditor be held separately rather than to exist as one office as heretofore; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Beaver County, State of Utah, has found and determined that It will be more economical and efficient tor those of BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BEAVER STATE OF COUNTY, UTAH, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1 Commencing withthe first Monday tn January, 1987, the office of Beaver County Clerk and the office of Beaver County Auditor shall be consolidated and combined Into one office to be held by one person, with such deputy or deputies as may be hereafter determined, and that Person shall possess all of the rights and privileges and shall be subject to all of the duties and responsibilities of ioth offices. SECTION 2 Persons desiring to hold the combined oince shall file and run for election therefor tn the same manner and at the same times as other county offices generally, and there shall be no separate filings or elections for the office of County Clerk or the office of County Auditor. SECTION 3 This ordinance shall become effective on the first Monday In January, 1987, so far as the functions and duties of the combined office are concerned, but, in order that Persons may file for the office at the usual time, this ordinance shall become effective for the purpose of filing for the office and the subsequent election processes on the first date when filing for county offices becomes permitted, March COUNTY This ordinance Is adopted pursuant to the provisions of Section Utah Code Annotated,!
