BY CHRISTY WILLDEN The Mllford Tigers traveled to Cowboy country with victory on their minds as they met with the Kanab Cowboys in an exciting league con- test. Throughout the first half of the ballgame the lead changed hands many times. The Tigers were able to force the Cowboys to score from the outside, shutting off their inside attack. Through hard work and pressure on defense, the Tigers went into the locker room with a 9 halftime lead. After the intermission theTigers came back to score one quick basket. From that point on, the Tigers shooting turned cold and they were only able to score 4 more points to Kanab's 19 during the third quarter. The Tigers were able to keep pace with the Cowboys during the fourth quarter, but they were unable to close the gap. The final score was 60-favoring the Cowboys. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Sherwood with 14 points, Sullivan with 11 and Dotson with 10. Other scoring were Mayer with 22-1- The Tigers were 21-from the field and 5from the foul line. Sherwood also had 10 blocked shots for the Tigers. The Tigers are showing promise of putting things together in time for region tournament play. We wish the Tigers the best of luck.
