Show HOYT EDGAR SHARP Hoyt E. Sharp, age 60, died April 21, 1979 in the Beaver Valley hospital. He was born September 8, 1918 ' in Boone ville, Arkansas, to Monroe Lewis and Bonnie Dorrough Sharp. He married Virginia Skinner, November 24, 1940 in Las Vegas, their marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple January 19, 1964. Mr. Sharp moved to Beaver Bea-ver in 1977 and purchased a ranch on the North Road. Prior to his move to Beaver, Bea-ver, he lived in Granada Hills, California, for 28 years. While there he was involved in several business ventures with his partner, Q Hugh Smith. They did demolition demo-lition and landclearing; owned own-ed and operated service sta-' sta-' tions and had cattle. Mr. Sharp was involved with the youth through base -ball teams and through the church as an Explorer Leader. Lead-er. He was an avid out- doorsman. He is survived by: his wife, Beaver; two sons and one daughter: Leonard F., Granada Hills, California; Larry W., Anchorage, Alaska; Al-aska; Mrs. Norman P. (Claudette) Heninger., Thousand Thou-sand Oaks, California. One sister, Mrs. Woodrow (Hazel) (Ha-zel) Burns, Phoenix, Arizona. Ari-zona. Mr. Sharp was preceded pre-ceded in death by one brother Hedrick, and one son, Gary F., who was killed in an airplane accident while working as a smoke jumper for the Forest Service in Alaska, in June of 1969. Funeral Services were Funeral Services were held Tuesday, April 24, 1979 in the Beaver 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Burton Myers conducting. Ad-disional Ad-disional services were held Thursday, April 26, 1979 in the Granada Hills 1st Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Elwood Brown conducting. con-ducting. Interment was in the Eternal Eter-nal Valley Cemetery, New , Hall, California, under the direction of the Metcalf Campbell Mortuary. |
