Show OBITUARY JEFF BALDWIN Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the Milford Community Methodist Church for Jeff Baldwin, 81, of Milford, who died Nov. 8, 1975 of cancer. Rev. Jim Rohbins conducted con-ducted the services. Mr. Baldwin was born Sept. 2. 1894 in Oberon. No. Dakota to Abram and Belle Whitcomb Baldwin. He was united in marriage to Helen Lorene Downie, July 28, 1947, in Devil's Lake, No. Dakota. Mr. Baldwin was a meni-ler meni-ler of the Minnesota Historical Histor-ical Society in Minneapolis. He was . also a veteran of WW I and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He attended Oberlin College Col-lege in Oberlin, Ohio as a young man and transferred to Colorado College inColo-rado inColo-rado Springs where he obtained ob-tained his degree in Science. He then did graduate work at the University of California Cali-fornia in Berkeley, Calif, and obtained his degree in Petroleum Engineering. He brought in tlie first oil well on Signal Hill at Redondo Beach, Mr. Baldwin's first love was farming, however, and lie farmed in North Dakota. Da-kota. Minnesota. Florida and Prince Edward Island. Canada. Cana-da. He was a pioneer in tlie development of Foundation Seed and particularly in the potato industry, having originated ori-ginated the Florada Test for seed that is a standard procedure pro-cedure that is used by seed growing states. Survivor: widow of Milford. Mil-ford. Interment will take place in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Minnesota, with full military honors.
