McShane Girls State Leader Dies In Milford A former Utah and national leader of the American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary and a founder of Girls Nation, died Aug. 7 1975 in the Milford hospital of cancer. Golda B. McShane, 76, organized or-ganized Girls' State of Utah in 1947 and served as its director di-rector until 1950. Later, she helped found Girls' Nation. In 1945, Mrs. McShane served as the president of the Utah American Legion Auxiliary. Prior to that time, she served as secretary secre-tary to the organization. Four years later, she served as national vice president and duringthe same year was on the national committee. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, Mrs. McShane was also a practical nurse. She was born on March 10, |
