Show ' JAMES E. EYRE DIES IN WYOMING James Edward Eyre, 100, patriarch pat-riarch of the Lyman, Wyo., LDS Stake for more than 18 years, died Sunday in a Rock Springs rest home of causes incident to age. He was born Dec. 30, 1867, in Minersville, to George and Rebecca Hopkin Eyre. He married mar-ried Lydia Ann Roberts on Jan. 17, 1894, in Minersville. The marriage was later sol-omnized sol-omnized in an LDS Temple. She died in 1927. Mr. Eyre moved to Bridge Valley, Wyo., in 1902. He was a counselor in the first bishopric bishop-ric of the Lyman Ward, and served as a member of the first stake presidency in the Lyman Stake. He served a mission to the Northern States. He was a member of the Uintah County Farm Bureau, and of the Lyman School Board. Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Clem G. and Leland R., both of Lyman; Mrs. Merlin Rawlins, Evans-ton, Evans-ton, Wyo., and Mrs. James (Susan (Su-san Florence) Plats, Green River, Wyo.; also 15 grandchildren grandchil-dren and 50 great-grandchildren. Funeral services .were scheduled sched-uled for 2 p .m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Lyman Ward Chapel. |
