Show MOTHER OF ELMO SMITH DIES IN CEDAR CITY. HOSPITAL Mrs. Ann Dalley Madsen, 77, of Summit, died of causes incident inci-dent to age Thursday, Aug. 6, in a Cedar City hospital. She was the mother of Elmo Smith of Milford. Mrs. Madsen was born Nov. 30, 1886, in Summit, to Moroni and Martha Allen Dalley. She married George Isaac Smith. They were divorced. She married Nels C. Madsen in 1945. When a young girl, she worked at the Smithson Boarding Board-ing House in Milford, and after aft-er marrying Mr. Smith made their home in Minersville, between be-tween 1914 and 1918, and from 1925 to 1930. In Minersville she managed the Smith Hotel. Survivors include her husband; hus-band; the following sons and daughters: George P. Smith. Ogden; Elmo E. Smith, Milford; Mil-ford; Lural M. Smith, Hacien- da Heights, Calif.; Mrs. Norean Smith, Whittier, Calif.; Mrs. M. L. (Leona) Jenkins, California; Cali-fornia; stepsons and stepdaughter, stepdaugh-ter, Mrs. Frank (Afton) Clerk, Springville; Ardell Madsen, Cedar Ce-dar City; Elmer Madsen, Henderson, Hen-derson, Nev.; 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. May Simkins, Circleville. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Saturday in the Summit Sum-mit LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Summit Cemetery. |
