ALTMAN, MILFORD MERCHANT, PASS1S AWAY Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted at Evans & Early Mor- ' tuary in Salt Lake, at 10 a. m. today (Thursday, Dec. 11), '. for Isadore Altman, 82, who ; died at 8:15 a. m. Tuesday at his home in Milford, of causes-incident causes-incident to age. Mr. Altman was born June 16, 1887, in Czecho-Slovakia, to Leopold and Fannie Weinberg- er Altman. He married Cora Elta Amter, Feb. 15, 1916, in ; Los Angeles. She died in 19G8. ! They came to Milford in 1929, and he opened Altman's i Clothing Store, which he operated oper-ated until the time of his death. i Mr. Altman was a member j of the last town board of Mil- ; ford, and also served on the 1 first city council after Milford i was declared a city. He was initiated into Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 2, Salt Lake, i March 22, 1920, and was a member and past master of ; Albert Pike Lodge No. 14, F.' 1 1 & A. M., Milford. He was also a member of Ruth Chapter No. 6. Order of Eastern Star. 1 ; Fpr more than 20 years he has been Grand Representative j from the Grand Lodge of Utah ' to the Grand Lodge of Israel. Surviving are three daugh- 1 ters, Lois Altman, Milford; Mrs. ; ) James (Shirley) Ivers, Salt Lake, and Mrs. Leon (Maine) ! Babus, Long Beach, N. Y.; also two grandsons, Howard Allen Babus and Steven Altman Babus. Ba-bus. Salt Lake Masonic bodies will confer graveside honors in B'Nai Israel Cemetery, Salt Lake. |
