Show Wynaught felled at 95 "birthday The eldest resident of Mil-ford, Mil-ford, Mr. L.A. Wynaught, celebrated his 95th birthday and Father's Day, Sunday June 17, at a reception held in the recreation room of the United Community Medhodist Church. It was a happy occasion for this remarkable re-markable gentleman, who is known affectionately as "Bert" not only in Milford but throughout Utah. In 1914 Bert brought his wife, Eleanor and daughter, Alice to Milford, from Las Vegas, Nevada, and remained re-mained to become active in the civic affairs of Milford as well as in Southern Utah, and in the American Automobile Auto-mobile Association of Utah. He is, in fact, still a director di-rector on the board of that association. Mr. Wynaught is also a member of: United Community Com-munity Methodist Church and a Trustee; Masonic Lodge Albert Pike 14; Eastern Star, RuthChapter6;Shrine El Kalah Temple, Salt Lake City; I.O.O.F. 42; Elks Goldfield (Nevada) Lodge 1072 for 67 years; Milford Lion's Club; Milford Senior Citizens; Rebekahs Lodge 43. He was organizer of Associated Asso-ciated Civic Clubs of Southwestern South-western Utah and a mem -ber until it disbanded. He was active in promoting road improvements in Southwest Utah. Among his civic accomplishments ac-complishments is the local library which was established es-tablished while he was Mayor. While being active in these civic and fraternal organizations, organi-zations, he conducted a business with the Shell Oil Company in Milford and Bea-. ver, until retiring in 1951. Mrs. Alice Van Horn, his daughter, who resides with Mr. Wynaught, was hostess for the reception, assisted by Mrs. Frances McGrath, cousin, and houseguest from Orange, California, and by ladies of the United Methodist Metho-dist Women. |
