Show i lire o charged in Friday alicrcaiion Milford Police arrested three young men last Friday. In an altercation that began at the Hong KongCafe.where the glass was kicked out of the back door, and moved first to the Pub, then to the hospital. Marshall Richard Hannah was called to the Hong Kong-Cafe Kong-Cafe at 9:50 p.m. after a young man had kicked out the glass from the backdoor of the Cafe and then left. Hannah, assisted by Marshall Mar-shall Randy Hutchison, and Deputy Dennis Cox, went looking for the suspect and ran into his friends at The Pub, where one individual took a swing at Hannah. In the ensuing scrap, Andy Martinez was injured and taken to Milford Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment, treat-ment, and was released. However, another altercation alterca-tion broke out at the Hospital, Hos-pital, and Marshall Hannah was injured. . Arrested were Andy Martinez, Mar-tinez, two counts of assault, on a police officer, obstructing obstruct-ing justice and public intoxi- cation; Terrence Patrick Sullivan, obstructing justice and public intoxication. At midnight Hannah . was again cal ed to the HongKong Cafe, where he arrested the suspect in the In the broken door episode, who had returned re-turned to the Cafe. Kevin Berry was charged with criminal cri-minal mischief and public Intoxication. All three men work for" a geophysical company. They will be arraigned before Judge Cook on Friday. Besides Cox, and Hutchison, Hutchi-son, patrolman Mclnnelly, of Beaver, and Deputy Craw, of Minersvllle answered the call to help contain the fracas. fra-cas. Several local men also lent a hand to the officers. About 1:30 a.m. Marshall Hannah was called, along with the fire department, to put out a fire at the old jail. The jail is used to store the Lions Club papers collected in their paper drive. Damage was confined con-fined to the papers, and the xement structure was not .damaged. 'Marshall Hannah indicated indicat-ed that arson was suspected suspect-ed in the fire. |
