After which both doctors made a few comments. stated that if it was business related that the Hospital pays and if not then the meals were paid for by the person dining. Question regarding having to sign every time a patient is seen in « the clinic. John stated that he ’ would look into having people sign once a month. Question regarding Home Health and what was going to be to at nominations were made from the floor, Veda Cox nominated Craig Dave for Milford, and Phyllis Mayer for at-large. Phyllis Mayer nominated Russell Holm for — ADMINISTRATION: John talked about the new doctors and the continuing need to provide strategic planning and a vision that the Hospital should be working towards. John thanked the community for their support of the hospital. John stated that new personnel bring new expenses. There was a cash flow problem this past year but with money that was saved from previous good years we were able to make it through 1997 and 1998 has a healthier out look. This next year should be very successful. We currently have the CNA course with 15 students. Two to three years ago we had the LPN course here in Milford and there will be an EMT course sometime in March with SLTU credits for the EMT course. We are working to raise the funds: for this program. Question regarding why so many EMT's have quit. John stated that it was for personal therapist would be able to carry the reasons, and that the EMT's are all they would be able to handle the load with the help of the nursing load was asked. volunteers. John commented on all the improvements that have gone on at the hospital such as new equipment, washer, dryer, new staff. Rev. Wagner stated that we need to look at the positive not just the negative. He has spoken with several patients at the hospital who have stated that the food has improved , the nursing abilities, and just everything has improved. Question regarding drug testing and if the hospital was providing this service to the require three candidates. Most of the questions of concern that have been brought up, the board has addressed and progress is being made on these concerns. John stated that if there any problems go to John with them and he will get to the bottom so that everyone will be satisfied. Hopefully the concerns that were brought up will be solved. Questions regarding , why respiratory therapy personnel resigned were asked. John stated that a year ago they signed a contract and were satisfied with that contract. The contract has not been breached. They gave the Board a letter of resignation which the Board accepted. The hospital is interviewing for Resp. Therapy. Question regarding whether work Recommendations were brought up to the Board that they spend time at the hospital to see what is going on. That they come to the hospital at different times of the day, A recommendation to let the community know that Board meetings are open sessions and to help the community feel welcome to go to the Board meetings. ELECTION RESULTS: Kelly Forman read the results from the election. Jerry Mayer was elected as the Milford representative. Phyllis Mayer and Nedra Kennedy were elected as the at-large representatives. Jerry stated that we have to be proud of our community. Jerry stated that he was glad everyone showed up and all concerns will be address. Meeting was adjourned at 10:00 pm. DATE @ the Centrum, SUU Intermountain Christi: Reg.14 #5 In the race for the Region 15 Championship Thursday night .. began with the Milford Tigers playing against Bryce Valley. They emerged the winners with a 58 - 37 victory. The Tigers were then matched in Friday nights game against Valley. The Milford boys came out with a win of 49 to 42, pitting them against Panguitch the next night to play for the title. Scoring for Friday's game is as follows: Brady Williams, 20- Craig Wiseman, 10 - Clayton Williams, 10 ESA vin) Craig Barnes, 7 - and Dustin Whittaker, 2. Milford Tigers Craig Wiseman led the scoring at Saturday night’s title game. The senior finished with a game-high 18 points, eight of which came in the Tigers second quarter. Brady Williams contributed 12 points and several big rebounds, while Clayton Williams finished with 11, Dustin Whittaker 2, and Craig Bames 2. The game was evenly matched almost basket for basket, vet ultimately ended in a loss of 53 - 45. The Tigers will now enter the State tournament in second, matching up against the Salt Lake Lutheran Lynx, Region 14's #4 team. Games will be played in Cedar City at the SUU Centrum Arena. Coach Hoagland commented, “If we play our best we have the capability to win the tournament. We will take it one game at a time. We have to give our total effort - not letting down for one minute against anybody.’ He continued saying, “ I am pleased with the kids battle against Panguitch. We had our chances, and we can beat them if we concentrate for the full game.” The coach also expressed appreciation for the support of the fans. Milford had a big turnout at the regional tournament.
