They defeated the Lakeview team on Tuesday evening by a score of 49 to 38, and on Wednesday afternoon they downed the strong Ogden 26th ward team 50 to 35. The schedule for Thursday night placed the Fielding boys against the Brigham 8th ward, the game being called for 9:45. For the second year, the Field-i- n M men basket ball team won the right to represent Bear River Stake at the Division tournament held in Ogden, February 15, 16, 17 and 19. They defeated Tremonton 1st Thursday evening. Tremonton First took second place; Garland First, third and Bothwell fourth place. The outstanding player of the tournament was Verl Coombs of Fielding. Fielding won the Championship trophy and Bothwell took the sportsmanship award. The Tremonton Second ward gleaners girls were awarded the trophy given by the stake for giving the best support to their team. Vernon Coombs of Fielding was named the outstanding player in Tuesday evening's games; Boyd Marble, Bothwell took the honor on Wednesday night and Claine Archibald of Garland First was chosen on Thursday night. AUGUSTA STENQUIST CELEBRATES 94th BIRTHDAY On Thursday, Mrs. Augusta Stenquist quietly celebrated her 94th birthday, with members of her family calling to wish her well.
