Train ing was given in social games, simple active and competitive games, folk dances, and simple dramatics. Each of the institutes comprised eight meet ings. The first of the recreation institute series opened at Nephi, November 5, with .40 leaders of Juab, Utah and Millard counties participating. The second, held at Richfield from November 11 to 15, enrolled 61 leaders of five counties, including Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Sanpete and Garfield. At the third of the series held in Price, representation was from Carbon, Emery, San Juan and Grand counties. The recreation training has been free to the leaders, but each enrollee has been selected to represent a specific group and assumed obligation to present applicable material to his own group. Organizations represented in cluded county recreation clubs, clubs, Mutual Improvement Associa tions, Boy Scout, church recreation leader, Better Homes Club, Primary, Relief Society, city and county rec4-- H reation employees.
