Mann and sons Orin and Clare and Miss Gladys Farmie, of Salt Lake spent the week-en- d visiting witn Mr. adn Mrs. W. E. Woods and Mr. and Mrs. Kim Mann. Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Hansen went to Briirham, on business last Wednesday. The M Men and Gleaner girls banquet held last Thursday was a success. The tables were beautifully decorated with flowers, and all kinds of delicious food were served. Sixty young people enjoyed the banquet, after which all joined in games and dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Aren Mann of Kaki-mWashington, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Kim Mann on their return from Salt Lake. They left Wednesday morning for Washington. J. P. Christensen attended a funeral of Mrs. Jorgensen, a relative, last Friday in the Ninth ward of Logan. The ward teachers' trip to Logan Temple last Friday was a success, nearly 100 percent of Bishopric and ward teachers, made the trip. They truly showed their faithfulness in this as well as in ward teaching. Some of these men have been teachers for 25 years and have never missed a visit Those who went were: Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hunsaker, Mr. and Mrs. Amos P. Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Mr. and Mrs. J. Mrs. Lewis Abbott accompanied them as far as Farmington, where she visited her mother, Mrs. Wood. Freshman candidates far outnumber all other aspirants for positions on Coach Dick Romney's Utah Aggie track and field team. Few veterans are back this season and consequently these first year youngsters will have to do most of the point getting if there is any done. The hieh class competition of the conference this season will probably prevent any wind that has been howline for the last week. Idaho, spent part of last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ira Andersen, and called on other friends while here. Mr, Christensen remodeled the Anderson home, and will remain here to woork, while Mrs. Christensen and children left for home Saturday. The old time dance Monday was not a fiancial success owing, no doubt, to the many cases of Measles in Elwood. Those who came had a good time. It is thought that another dance will be held in the near future. Mrs. Harry Drew and daughter, Bessie, of Tremonton, snent last Monday visiting with Mrs. W. E. Woods. John Bronson his accompanied brother Georjre to Ogden last Saturday, for another examination of his eyes, and found that he was doing fine and it is hoped that George will soon be well again.
