Show BEAR RIVER VALLEY LEADER, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 1929. Riverside -- I Norman Tubbs left the latter part of the week for Salt Lake where he will attend the L. D. S. Business col lege for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Welling and children of Salt Lake were calling on relatives and friends Sunday and Monday. Mrs. Alice Buxton of Evans, visited with her father, Joseph Hadfield Saturday. A large crowd of church workers attended the social at. Garland Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Walker entertained at dinner Sunday for Senator and Mrs. T. R. Welling and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Welling. Mrs. Jesse Davis accompanied, Mrs. J. T. Bigler, to Brigham, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. T R. Welling went to halt Lake Tuesday on business. Miss lone Meyers, of Bothwell, with Miss Edith 6pent the week-en- d Olsen and Miss Peg Capener, at the A. A. Capener home. Geo. M. Ward, made a business trip to Brigham Monday. Melvin Ward came over from Cache Valley Tuesday and his mother, Mrs. Phoebe Ward, returned with him and will spend Thanksgiring with her sons, Wilford, Dwight and Melvin. Austin Udy went to Logan Wednes- day, to get his mother, Mrs. Rowane Udy. Mrs. Udy will spend several days here with her children. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hess, of called at the R. D. Macfarlane home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ward spent Tuesday at Bngham. Relief Society conference was held Sunday evening. A large crowd was nresent and enioyed the program. The visitors were: Mrs. Fridal, Dr. T. E. Betenson, Harold Persson and P. C Patterson. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Capener are going to Salt Lake for Thanksgiving. A Farm Bureau meeting was held Thursday, evening. The project given Miss was "Children's Literature". Myrtle Davidson was present. Mr. and Mrs. Wm Bowcutt and daughter Lorella, and Miss Nina Udy went to Willard Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Marsh. Mrs. Wm. R. Archibald, of Ogden, was visiting with his sister, Mrs. T J. Udy, the latter part of the week. Miss Peg Capener entertained the Geo Circle club Thursday of last week at her home. Thanksgiving suggestions were carried out, and baskets of rose chrysanthenums were used for decorating. Luncheon was served to twelve members and the following guests Mrs. Sterling Huish, Annie Neddo, of Garland; Mrs. Edith Olsen, Mrs. Le land Capener, Mrs. Glen Ward, Mrs Russell Capener, Mrs. Clayton Beck, Mrs. H. S. Tingey, and Mrs. Delos Jensen of PJverside 500 was played, high score being won by Mrs. Dean Coombs and consolation score by Mrs. Wynn Hansen. Mrs. Oliver Halford, of Montana, is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Eliza Ward.
