C Petterson and children motored to Logan Thursday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Shumway attend ed the party, given for the Box Elder County, school teachers at Bnghara Thursday evening. Dr .and Mrs. J. W. Chambers and sons Don and Mar, returned home last Friday after spending ten days in Nevada, visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Gaddie, who have been visiting in Idaho, returned home this week. Mrs. J. L. Harvy and Miss Orpha Sweeten, attended a luncheon at' the Hotel Eccles, Logan, last Saturday afternoon, complimentary to Miss Gladys Tyson, a bride of the month. Mr. and llrs. J. J. Shumway had as their Suna guests Mrs. Milton Peters of Brigham City. Sarah Shumway returned home Sunday from Brigham City where she spent a few days visiting with her sister, Mrs. Milton Peters. Mrs. J. Ij. Harvey attended a trousseau tea Sunday afternoon at Brigham City, given by Miss Gladys Tyson. The regular monthly M. I. A. Union meeting was held in the Stake tabernacle last Sunday afternoon. Stake president M. H. Welling presided and Supt. C. J. Dewey con ducted. Singing, "Our M. I. A." , Prayer, H. R. The oldest son of Dr. Hawkins, has filled a mission, and is now a Scout executive in the Stockton Council, Calif., having been transferred from the Salt Lake Council. John F. is with the American Red Cross and is also connected with Scout work. He wa3 present at the Regional convention at Long Beach. Dr. Hawkins and his sons feel that Scouting is the biggest program that has come into the American boy's life. His daughter, La Priel recently filled a mission to California, and is now with the Utah Mortgage and Loan at Logan. Georgiana is with the Walker lt Beauty Parlor at Walker Bros, Lake City.
