After the tension and work for our fiesta President O'Donnal decided we needed a little rest and offered to take us down to the coast to his rubber plantation to rest, a week. Naturally we didn't have to be asked twice, and soon on our wav. it was a lovely week. We swam in the little private swimming pool, slept about 16 hers a day ate at our leisure and were delighted when one of the native workers offered to take us out into the jungle that surrounds the plantation to hunt wild game. We left at 4 o'clock in the morning in a jeep and snent a very interesting day investiga ting the things I thought only existed in Tarzan shows. We also had luck in killing game. We '.illed several small alligatcrv, two tree lizards which were two feet in length, a gorgeous tropi cal parroi, a wna turtey, some buzzards, and several other things I don't know the names of in English. The night before, the same guide had killed a young deer and we ate fresh deer meat all the time we were there.
