He was a graduate of Bear River high school and entered the service January 15, 1943. He received his train ing In Camp Croft, South Carolina. In May, 1943 he left for overseas duty, and was stationed In England until when he went with the First Infantry Division to Omaha Beach. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was wounded July 28, near St. Lo, France, and died the following day.
