Show BEAR RIVER VALLEY LEADER, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1929. Bear River City The Daughters of Pioneers of the Bear River Camp will meet at 2:30 P. M. Thursday, October 10th, at the home of Mrs. Adaline Andersen. The party was in honor of the retiring officers. All daughters are requested to be present. Representative Lucenda Jensen in company with Senator Welling and Representative Richards, accompanied Governor Dern and his party on an inspection tour of the Valley looking at proposed site, on where to build the training school. The other lady in the company was Amy Brown Lyman. This tour was held Friday, .September 27. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Budge and three children of Malad, Idaho, are visiting at the home of parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jensen Mrs.-Budge'- s and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Goudy and children, Mrs. Hulda Pitts and son Ray, of Salt Lake City, were guests on Sunday at the home of Mr. and j Mrs. Carl Iverson . Miss Emeline Andersen entertain ed Monday afternoon, Sept 30th, in honor of her mother, Inger M. Andersen' 81st birthday anniversity. The afternoon was spent in a social way, after which a delicious two course luncheon was served to the Mesdames Mary Ipson, Trena Christensen, Sarah M. Fridal, Hansina Johnson, Mary J. Holmgren, Elaine Holmgren, Georgina Andersen, Cleopha Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Andersen and children, Peter M. Andersen and Miss Emeline Andersen. The house was beautifully decorated with Roses and flowers grown in their own garden. Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Andersen and children of Bothwell, were the guests on Sunday of Mr .and Mrs. Heber Hailing. Other guests were Mrs. Eliza Hailing and Mrs. Augusta Iver-seA delicious chicken dinner was served. Mrs. J. Lee Rock and baby of Willard, who has been visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Hansen for some time left Saturday morning for California tc make her home. Friday afternoon a quilting party was held at the home of Mrs. F. L. Nelsen. Those who enjoyed the party were Mesdames Emma Jensen, Mag- n. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gittens have moved to Boise, Idaho, to be with their daughter, Mae, who is a member of the school board at that place. Acel Price, our district school principal and his mother from Cache Valley are living in the Gitten's home. Horace Lish, wife and children were visiting relatives and friends at .Salt Lake Saturday and Sunday. We invite comparison. than the com- en- Collinston One of the most interesting features of the last week was the marriage of Mis Norma Seal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Seal to Mr. Loyal Hoist of Brigham City, the marriage was solemnized in Ogden Saturday. Their many friends join the writer in wishing them a prosperous and happy future. Miss Lois Dunn. Miss Jane W hite of Fielding, and Mr. Henry Mclntyre, were welcome guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bigler Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Bigler of Malad, Idaho, were transacting business in Collinston and Brigham Thursday. M. Y. Simons had his leg badly hurt last week, by a horse falling on it. An picture was taken which showed no bones were broken, but he will have to us crutches for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bigler of St. Anthony, Idaho, were calling on relatives here, on their way to Salt Lake where Mr. Bigler will take treatment from a specialist for two or three weeks. Mrs. Glen Fryer and little son has returned from the Valley Hospital, wel land happy. Congratulations. J. A. Bigler was operated on at the Valley Hospital Thursday, by Dr. Robbins of Salt Lake and Dr. E. H. White, for a swelling on the Breast, which was removed and token to Salt Lake to be analyzed before correct diagnosis can be given. W. B. Simmons had the misfortune of loosing a valuable horse and having several others foundered by several sacks of grain accidently left in the field. Mrs. Clark Bowen just returned from Ogden where she has been for several days nursing her sick sister. Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson are rejoicing over the arrival of their first child, a baby boy, born Saturday at one of the Logan Hospitals. Collinston was not behind her sister towns in carrying off ribbons of all colors from the Box Elder County Fair. Mrs. Odell Bigler and sons, Gordon and Kenneth of Cokeville, Wyoming, will visit with relatives and friends here for a week or two. Mrs. J, A. Bigler and Mrs. Olga Wheatley were called to Salt Lake Sunday on account of the death of their niece, Mrs. Amy .Smith, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Standing.
