Brough and family also attended the reunion in Logan Brough-Crawfor- th canyon. to 16 49c "BUY FOR CASH AND PAY LESS" MELA,- Saturday afternoon Mrs. Thressa Brailsford entertained a few relatives and friends in honor of her birthday The afternoon was spent ia playing Monto Carlo Wist, with Mrs. Winnie Jensen winning high score ,Mrs. Ella Hansen low score and Mrs. Erma Rock of Carmel, California, winning cut prize, after which refreshments were served to twenty-seve- n guests. Thursday afternoon the primary of ficers held their monthly officer's meeting in the basement of the amuse ment hall with President Sina Hanr sen in charge. After the opening exercises Mrs. Hansen discussed the les son and gave instructions to the teach ers, after which refreshments were served to twelve officers and to one visitor. On August 28th primary meeting started and will continue ev ery Monday until the close of school in May. The district school teachers for this community this school season will be Glenn Taylor, Miss Frona Cates, Miss Lela Jensen, Miss Wanda Jensen, Miss Ada Jensen and Miss Veoma Holmgren Pratt Holmgren, Daicthy cad Coy Gardner, Verl Iversen and Maxine Han sen, all had their tonsils removed during the week. Mrs. P. M. Mortensen and family of Sugar City, Idaho, spent the week end in this city visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Jensen, Jr. and family. Norman Johnson and two sons of Salt Lake City, spent Friday visiting in this city, with his mother, Mrs. Johanna Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson and children spent several days in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. George Gardner and children spent Saturday in Salt Lake City on business. Thursday evening Mrs. Meda Holm gren and Mrs. Mary Weidman and club girls held a lawn party their on the lawn at the Holmgren home. During the evening progressive and contest games were played, after which a delicious hot three course luncheon was served to twenty guests. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Holmgren and two children returned home Thursday after spending three weeks in South ern Utah on a pleasure trip. Miss Grace Hansen left Saturday for Salt Lake where she will attend the L. D. S. business college. Friday, Mrs. Melvin Johnson entertained a few of her friends at her home. The afternoon was spent in playing 500 with Mrs. Gladys Holmgren winning high prize and Mrs. Gertie C. Iversen winning low prize, after which delicious refreshments were served to thirty-fiv- e guests. Misses Clara and Vera Olsen of Paradise, Utah, is visiting in this, city with their sisters, Mrs. Clarence Golds berry and Mrs Densel Ekins. Lilly Olsen of Logan, Utah, is visiting in this city with her friend, Mrs. Fona Cates. Misses Lela and Elenora Jensen returned home Sunday after spending several days in Malad, Idaho, visiting their sister, Mrs. Lawrence Budge and family. Bellie, the eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frona Cates, had the mis fortune to fall Thursday while visiting in Blue Creek and break both bones in his right arm above the wrist. Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Gilson are the proud parents of a fine baby girl, born August 25th. Rasmus Christensen motored to Salt Lake Wednesday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Campbell of Afton, Wyoming, spent the week end visiting their daughter, Mrs. Austin L. Johnson and family. . C. E. Anderson and family were Logan visitors Thursday. Mrs. P. E. Ault accompanied ' the clubs of Bothwell, on a tour girls' of several industrial plants of Ogden on Thursday. Thomas Kay went to Provo Friday and will attend the Kay reunion while there. Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Johns were week end visitors in Ogden. Mrs. Charles Peterson accompanied her sister, Mrs. Joseph Scothern of So. Tremonton, to Logan Wednesday.
