Wheat Quota Figures Given 1-- 3; Mr. and Mrs. James P. Jensen, Jr., spent Friday in Richmond, Utah, visiting their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Funk and family. 2-- 3. Box Elder county's wheat production average, upon which the county allotment will be based under the Agricul- 3K3B Attention Farmers iinniiiiinHiiiiiHiiiniiHiHHiiiiiiii! tural Adjustment Administration's plan for wheat production adjustment, is 1,749,629 bushels, according to Director William Peterson, manager of the Agricultural Adjustment Administration for Utah. This figure, which has been determined by the United States Crop Reporting Board, represents the average total annual production of wheat in the county for the five-yeperiod from 1928 tl rough 1932, inclusive. The county allotment, which is set at 54 percent of this average production to conform with the percentage of the total national wheat crop which is consumed domestically as human food, totals, 944,596 bushels. This allotment is the maximum total upon which individual compensation payments can be made within the county, Director Peterson said. In order to save administration costs in Utah, the state has been divided into 11 districts, as follows: No. 1 Cache and Rich counties; No. 2 Box Elder; No. 3 Weber and Davis; No. 4 Morgan, Summit and Wasatch; No. 5 Salt Lake and Tooele; No. 6 Duchesne, Nintah, and Daggett; No. 7 Utah; No. 8 Juab and Sanpete; No. 9 Millard, Beaver, Iron, Washington; No. 10 Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield and Kane; No. 11 Emery, Carbon, Grand and SanJuan. If all wheat growers in the county should. decide to "come in" on the wheat reduction program, the total of their domestic allotments would reach approximately the same figure as the county allotment. The compensation payments will be based upon these individual allotments. The amount of payments which will be made will depend upon the number of wheat growers who take advantage of tne opportunity to participate in the wheat program. Growers of wheat are exempt from processing tax on flour, provided they exchange their wheat for flour at the mill door, and also provided that the flour so obtained is for home consumption for themselves and employees. Farmers may deposit wheat as in other years and draw flour as needed. ar We welcome this opportunity to cooperate with the wheat growers of this vicinity, and appreciate your business.
