Show I BEAR RIVER VALLEY LEADER, THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 1929. ner uests of Mr and Mrs. Duett Elwood club of The Happy Stitchers Elwood met at the home of their Norma Andersen, Wednesday, Aug. 7. After the usual opening exercises, they went down by the Bear River where they gatherd wood, built a fire and had a weenie roast. All had a roasting good time until the repast was extinguished. It didn't take long to remove hose and slippers and they waded the river out to a little sand beach where they enjoyed dancing, stunts and all that goes with them. On seeing some boys headed for the slippers and hose room, they also headed that way and had a splashing good time getting there. They won in the race and received as a prize dry footwear. After hiking around to many places of interest, including Bee Hive Beach, they returned to Andersen's where they told stories while partaking a dainty refreshments pre-pared by their little president.
