Show THE ARGUS. 14 MINING DEPARTMENT. riT. NEBOS RICHNESS. The Crystal mine at Marysville is ;o be provided with a mill at once as he ore bodies recently discovered amply justify it. The old Wachusetts is showing up as rich as it did in the days when it yielded so much to the Walker brothers in years long gone. There is unusual activity in Dutch canyon in Summit this summer and everything looks favorable to a live camp there before the leaves begin to The Nephi Republic publishes a remarkable story of the richness of Mt. Nebo and says: It has been mown for a good many years that here was a vein of gold bearing quartz at the head of Nebo and other canyons, and several pieces of rock lave been found at different periods. It is said on good authority that a man found a piece of gold bearing rock several years ago which assayed $700 in gold, and other finds have jeen reported of like richness. It was not until the other day however that such a big find has been made. The man that reported it to the recorder of the Nebo mining district vouches for the truth of the find. The mans name is Williams of Lake View, and while examining the records in the mining recorders office in Mona told the startling story. It appears that he had just come. down from the mountains and had seen the rock and three different assays of the mineral. It went $40,200 to the ton. sale, June 10th; delinquent 111 ck.
