Show STANDARD. ANTI-POLYGAM- Y 78 MUSIC for EVERY BOM. OSTBA TSED. MENIULi I is is iv i The Crime of Toting ami Thinking in Cta . On Monday Mr. J. E. Terry, of Draperville, called at the Tribune office to tell how Mormons rule affairs in that locality and treat men who dare vote according to their convictions in opposition to the Church. It happened that at the last election one Liberal voto was cast, and Mr. Terry being an outspoken man, everybody there knew who cast that solitary vote for Judge Yan Zile. Mr. Terry has lived in that vicinity for several years, and heretofore has always been welcomed at their parties and dances and was usually invited on such occasions. Now it happened that on Christmas night there was a dance in Draperville, at which everybody was to be admitted upon the pay- ment of a certain amount. Mr. Ter- ry presented himself at the door and tendered the usual fee for a ticket, but he was requested to wait a moment. A messenger was sent to the Bishop. On the return of the messenger Mr. Terry was informed that a ticket could not be sold to him. Wishing to know why he was debarred the pleasure of participating in the dance, he went to Henry Day, one of the councilors of the Bishop, for an explanation, and was You dont believe as we do, told: and you are the only man in this precinct who voted the Liberal ticket. This was the only explanation he gave, and in fact said it was the only thing they had against him. We presume Bishop Isaac M. Ste- Kimball & Lawrence AS o u is mw nnnM J - (corwino ht si:cu nun.)
