President of the Benefit Controls office in Lehi, he loves working with people. "I've always enjoyed benefits, ben-efits, always enjoyed working with people and this business gives us the opportunity to work with people and help people peo-ple with their benefit needs," Bray said. He began his career supplying supply-ing insurance needs for Ryan's Restaurant Group Inc. and its 27,000 employees as director of risk management and benefits ben-efits for 25 years. Bray used Benefit Controls Companies as his insurance broker for 15 years before he joined the team in 2006. The corporation maintains offices in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. "I was very impressed," Bray said. "I approached them about a Benefit Controls agency agen-cy in the West." His office became the first office of-fice for Benefit Controls west of Texas in November 2006. The Lehi office opened Feb. 1. His coworkers back east envy him, he said. "Utah is very well thought of out here on the east coast," Bray said, "it's a clean place to live, the morals and family values. val-ues. It's a good place to raise kids. It has good schools." "We have a good benefit corporate cor-porate background," he said. "We can understand and relate to the challenges businesses have in meeting the insurance needs of their employees." Their options include dental plans, vision, life, long term care, disability and annuities. "I think that what we do differently dif-ferently here, maybe than a lot of other agencies, is we're not tied with one insurance," he said. "Companies we represent are practically all the large insurances in Utah and we're able to get the best rates for the coverage that they need ... We have many opportunities, many resources to go to to obtain ob-tain that coverage." "And many, many more," his vice president Curtis Kramer Kram-er said.
