WHAT STAYS WITH THE So that there arc no last-minute misunderstandings, a purchase agreement should include an inventory of what both the buyer and seller agree will be included in the sale. Strictly speaking, the buyer is purchasing "real property," which includes the house and any item permanently affixed to it. However, items such as carpeting and appliances are deemed to be "personal property." And since they are not permanent parts of the home, they are not necessarily part of the sale. But this does not mean that their purchase cannot be the subject of negotiation. In actuality, sellers throw many items into the sale that they do not intend to take with them. Nevertheless, buyers shouldn't take any non-permanent items for granted. trative assignment at Rocky Mountain Elementary. I Bruce Gardner is the new principal of Valley View Elementary. Ele-mentary. According to police, officers of-ficers noticed bruising on Pettcrsson's back and stomach stom-ach that seemed suspicious. Thunborg told officers that he tripped and fell while carrying car-rying the child, which police said was inconsistent with Pettcrsson's injuries. Edwards Ed-wards said the injuries were more consistent with striking or hitting the child. Thunborg was arrested on a charge of child abuse homicide, homi-cide, a third-degree felony, Orem police said. Thunborg's girlfriend, Whitney Whit-ney Pettersson, 19, was working work-ing a graveyard shift while he cared for the child. When Whitney Pettersson arrived home from work later in the morning, Thunborg Thun-borg told her that the baby wasn't breathing and called 911. Edwards said Whitney Pettersson and the roommate are not under suspicion of any crimes. Darrell Thompson, Thunborg's Thun-borg's former landlord, said he wasn't surprised by what happened to Austin Pettersson. Petters-son. "As soon as I heard ... her baby died, I said, 'Chris did it.'
