Barney, Gray Gaynard and Cindy Barney of Orem, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kelsi Ann to Stephen Andrew Gray, son of David and Leona Gray of American Fork. The marriage will take place Friday, March 23, 2007 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Geneva Heights Stake Center, 546 N 500 West , Orem. Kelsi is a graduate of Timpanogos High School. She is currently employed by Tri-City Medical Clinic where she is working work-ing as a medical assistant. Stephen is a graduate of American Ameri-can Fork High School and is attending UVSC. He is currently employed by MD Property Services, Ser-vices, Inc. The happy couple will make their first home in Saratoga Springs. His wife, Elaine, of 56 years, his five children and their spouses; Norman (Cindy) Schow, Pleasant Grove; Kenneth (Patricia) Schow, Sandy; Linda (Doug) Hall, Federal Way, WA; Anita (John) Freeman, Pleasant Grove; Lynette (Willie) Nielsen, Lehi, his 25 grandchildren (and spouses), and 19 great grandchildren grand-children would like to express their love and gratitude and wish him a happy birthday! Alvin was born in Lehi in 1927, the youngest of 5 sons to A. Randal Ran-dal and Vera Schow. At 17 he enlisted in the Navy, following the example of his 4 older brothers' military service in World War II. Following the completion of his duty there, he served a mission for the LDS Church in the New England States Mission. Upon returning to Lehi he met Elaine Norman and they were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 14, 1950. They have lived in Lehi since. Alvin's entire life has been an example of service and dedication to his family, community, nation and to the LDS Church. He has been actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years receiving the Second Miler Award, the District Award of Merit, the Silver Beaver Award and the John Hutchings Outstanding Outstand-ing Service Award in 2004. He currently volunteers at the Hutchings Hutch-ings Museum, is a member of the American Legion and was recently recent-ly honored as the Grand Marshall for the Lehi City celebration as a leader in the community. His service to the LDS Church began at a young age and continues contin-ues today. He has enjoyed numerous numer-ous positions of leadership which include Bishop of the Lehi 5th Ward, stake president of the Lehi Utah Stake and currently serves as a sealer at the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple. As family and friends we appreciate ap-preciate all he has done for us, thank him for his example and wish him all the very best life has to offer! Uat-tiwOtm-tfOi 2. WHSdittrStfMt. Pn Thursday, March 22, 2007 Michael Davis Elder Michael Perry Davis, son of Craig and Paula Davis of Lehi, has been called to serve in the Brazil Salvador LDS Mission. Elder Davis will enter the Missionary Mis-sionary Training Center on March 28. Jordan Brinkerhoff Jordan Allen Brinkerhoff, son of Mark and Suzanne Brinkerhoff, Brinker-hoff, will be presented the Eagle Scout Award on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Stake Center, 2178 N 1200 East, Lehi. Jordan's Eagle project consisted of overseeing the gathering and assembling of supplies for 100 family hygiene kits for the LDS Humanitarian Center. Jordan is 14, a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, Ar-row, a member of Cedar Hollow 2nd Ward troop 1042 and an 8th grade honor roll student at Lehi Junior High School. A special note, Jordan is a 4th generation Eagle Scout. CeleBrations 9, 10 Obituaries 14 Police BeatXll Matthew Okelberry Matthew Okelberry; 15; son of Scott and Debbie Okelberry of American Fork, received his Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor held Sunday, March 18, 2007. He is a member of Troop 853 sponsored by the American Fork 31st Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For his project, Matthew organized orga-nized a group to clear the fourth segment of the Eagle Lxp Trail at the Heber Valley Girls Camp in July of 2006. Matthew, his family, friends, leaders and camp missionaries, mission-aries, worked hard in grubbing, pruning and cutting downed trees to clear the trail. Matthew is a 9th grade honor student at American Fork Junior High. He enjoys swimming on the school's swim team and for Hilltop Aquatic Swim Team. He plays the Alto Saxophone for the junior high's top jazz band and for the Wind Ensemble. Matthew also enjoys playing the piano, camping camp-ing with his family, and watching BYU football games. Matthew has shown that he is all that a good Eagle Scout should be. He's trustworthy, trust-worthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, cheer-ful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. We love you Matthew! Great job!
