Reese was booked into the Utah County Jail. PROTECTIVE ORDER VIOLATION VIOLA-TION Police recently arrested 27 year old Adit Elassh of Draper on charges of violating a protective order He was taken into custody and booked into the Utah County Jail. The action took place in Highland. High-land. JUVENILE ARREST - Police arrested three juvenile boys in Highland on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The approximate value of the items was $87. ASSAULT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VIO-LENCE A 21-year-old man was arrested for assault domestic violence vio-lence after officers responded to a report of a family fight at a local business. THEFT, BURGLARY. ETC. - A 29 year-old man was arrested for two counts of theft, burglary of a residence, auto burglary, evidence tampering, false information to a police officer and several outstanding outstand-ing arrest warrants. The victim was inside a local convenience store when she observed a man open her car door and take her purse. The man then fled on foot into a residential area. The victim drove into the area to look for the suspect while on the phone with the police. po-lice. She located the man who ran "Encourage your children to read a newspaper every day. Police sat up a perimeter and located the suspect inside a basement apartment. The man had entered the apartment where a woman and her two children chil-dren were watching television. The suspect told the woman that the cops were after him and asked if he could "hide" there. The woman told him to "get out." Officers had heard the woman yelling and as the man exited the apartment he was taken into custody without incident. The man gave officers a false name but officers recognized him. Officers where able to follow the man's footprints in the snow and found that he had thrown the victim's purse in a garbage can. The victims cash was missing from her purse. The man was booked into the Utah County Jail. RETAIL THEFT - A 16-year old boy was cited for retail theft after he attempted to take several DVD's from a local business. The approximate approxi-mate value of the items was $40. TRESPASSING - A 2C-year-old man and a 16-year-old man were cited for trespassing after officers responded to a report that the suspects sus-pects had been located on the roof of an elementary school. CONTRIBUTING - A 38 year-old woman was cited for selling tobacco to-bacco to a minor. CRIMINAL MISCHIEFDOMESTIC MISCHIEFDOMES-TIC VIOLENCE - A 27 year-old man was arrested for criminal mischief domestic violence after police responded to a report of a family fight. During the argument the man had broken the windshield of a vehicle. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULTDOMESTIC AS-SAULTDOMESTIC VIOLENCE CRIMINAL MISCHIEF A 23-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault and domestic violence criminal mischief mis-chief after officers responded to a report of a family fight. During the argument the man assaulted the woman and broke a picture frame. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEM - Three 16-year-old boys were arrested for possession posses-sion of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers responded to a report that the boys were behind a local business smoking marijuana. When officers arrived the boys were just leaving in a vehicle. The officers stopped the vehicle and during their investigation investi-gation they located marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the boys and in the vehicle. WARRANTS - A 28-year-old woman was arrested for an outstanding out-standing arrest warrant and a suspended drivers license after she was stopped for a traffic violation. The 33-year-old woman passenger, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Cedar Fort Fairfield TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - A vehicle went off SR73 north of the White Hills subdivision after hitting a deer on March 1. The accident caused minor cuts to the driver's hand and face from broken glass and airbag deployment as well as damage to the vehicle. Eagle Mountain and Cedar Fort emergency crews responded. The driver was treated and released at the scene. Eagle Mountain CRIMINAL MISCHIEFVANDALISM MISCHIEFVANDAL-ISM Three homes under construction con-struction on Cherokee Street were vandalized on March 6. (or a Um conwttahon call the Sheriff's Office at 789-5551. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - Deputies responded to a traffic accident on North Sweetwater Road on March 9. The driver of a truck traveling south lost control and crossed the median into the northbound oncoming on-coming traffic lane. As the truck hit the median, it rolled and landed on its cab. The driver was not injured. No other passengers were in the vehicle. Property damage to the vehicle ve-hicle and median landscaping was extensive. Lehi BURGLARY - Lehi Police Department Depart-ment officers received reports on March 17 at 7:30 p.m. of burglaries burglar-ies to two Lehi homes. Witnesses were able to describe the suspect's vehicle, a black. Chevrolet single cab pickup. A purse was stolen from one house and a garage door opener from another. Two hours later, officers found the truck at the Lehi Motel 6 and were able to find the room of the vehicle's driver, 24-year-old Christopher Chris-topher Birch. Birch had an extensive exten-sive criminal history for burglary, theft and drugs with a $700 warrant for his arrest. He and a companion tried to escape out the motel room window when police knocked on the motel room door. When an officer told Birch to answer the door, he did and police saw the stolen property in the room. Birch was arrested on two counts of second degree felony burglary of a dwelling, a third degree felony of possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug free zone, a first degree felony for possession of methanthetamine in a drug free zone, two counts of stolen property or a class B misdemeanor, a third degree felony for two counts of unlawful unlaw-ful acquisition of credit cards, and two counts of possession of burglary tools, also a class B misdemeanor. mis-demeanor. Police also arrested 24-year-old Shelly Torson on possession of methanthetamine, a second degree felony; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property. Both were booked into jail March 18 at 2 a.m. An additional burglary was called in to the police station for stolen insulation which was also tied into the suspects and the insulation insu-lation was recovered. CRASH A 21-year-old man from West Jordan gunned a bullet bike down Lehi's Main Street at approximately approxi-mately 3 a.m. on March 18 and his bike was totaled after sliding 266 feet from the time it hit the asphalt to when it came to a complete stop. Cited for unsafe lane travel and driving under the influence of alcohol, he was evaluated by a doctor doc-tor at American Fork Hospital and released on his own recognizance. NOISE DISTURBANCE - Police were called out to a noise disturbance distur-bance at 11:15 p.m. on March 18 in southwest Lehi. There were 30-35 people at the residence and minors tried to bail out through a back window win-dow when officers arrived. Calling in American Fork police and the Utah County Sheriffs Office deputies depu-ties for assistance, they cited 1 5 minors for consumption of alcohol. Some of the minors were released to their parents and those 18 years or older were released on their own. Officers report it was apparently appar-ently a birthday party. Orem BURGLARY - An unknown thief or thieves broke into Allen's grocery store March 16 by gaining access through the roof. The pharmacist phar-macist reported that prescription medication was missing from the pharmacy. Nothing was found missing inside. BURGLARY - A burglary was reported Sunday afternoon at Hobby-Tronics at 1053 S. 1675 W. An employee came to the business busi-ness and found that the back door had been pried open. At this point, nothing has been determined to be missing, but a thorough check of the inventory is being made today. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - Officers Of-ficers responded the evening of March 16 to the home of 31-year-old Michael Jared Gappmayer in the area of 400 E. 600 South after his wife escaped the home and summoned the police because Gappmayer had assaulted her. Gappmayer was drunk when the officers arrived and arrested after the officers saw evidence of his wife's injuries sustained when Gappmayer shoved her head into a wall. Gappmayer was also wanted on a warrant of arrest out of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove for domestic violence. He was booked into the Orem holding hold-ing facility. THEFT - Someone entered the open garage of a home in the area of 400 W. 2000 North on Wednesday Wednes-day evening while the family sat inside the home eating their dinner, and stole an iPod and Winchester 22 rifle from a car parked inside the garage. Police have no suspects. DRUG ARREST - Officer BJ Robinson stopped a car on March 15 at 10 p.m. driven by 23-year-old Nathan Beuhring, of Orem, for traffic violations. Beuhring had no insurance on the car he was driving and his license had been revoked by the state for a prior DUI conviction. convic-tion. Beuhring was searched after being arrested and marijuana was found in his pocket. Officer Robinson Robin-son then used his canine partner, Tico, to go over Beuhring's car and found more marijuana and prescription pre-scription drug medication hidden in two places inside the trunk of the car. Beuhring was booked into the Utah County jail. Pleasant Grove METH OPERATION SHUT DOWN Major Crimes officers broke up a Pleasant Grove methanthetamine methan-thetamine operation on March 14 netting nearly 4 ounces of the drug with a street value of $1 1,000, along with other drugs and cash. After detectives apprehended one suspect who fled on foot during dur-ing a traffic stop, Forshee said police were aided by an unlikely source a young man on a blind date with a girl. He saw the driver leave as police chased the other suspect, and he followed the car into American Fork and called police. That led to the arrest of three other suspects and search warrants war-rants seizing methanthetamine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia para-phernalia at two Pleasant Grove residences. Arrested were: Nathan Karner, 23, of St. George; Jarred Campbell, 31, of American Fork; Gregory Brereton, 38, of Pleasant Grove; and Michelle Lowery, 40, of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Saratoga Springs INJURY ACCIDENT - Two vehicles collided on SR68 and 400 South on March 11 when the car making a left-hand turn onto SR68 failed to yield and was struck broadside by a northbound vehicle. ve-hicle.
