There will be Saturday Satur-day matinees at 3 p.m. Evening shows begin at 7:30. James, a curious young orphan or-phan is forced to live with his two cruel aunts. One day a mystical mys-tical old man gives him a bag of magic. When he accidentally spills it near the old peach tree the most incredible things happen. hap-pen. The play, based on a beautifully beau-tifully written story by Roald Dahl, unfolds in a series of mishaps mis-haps and adventures involving James, the peach and a cast of wacky bugs. The concert will feature a "Must present Alpine Playhouse as Grasshopper with Oscar new collaborative choreographic choreograph-ic work, "Beyond Words," that brings together students and faculty from the departments of dance, music, humanities and the American Sign Language program. "The best way to enjoy a modern dance concert is to allow al-low yourself to be drawn into the movement," Artistic Director Direc-tor Kathie Debenham said. Miller, a Mohican Indian from the Stockbridge-Munsee Reservation in Wisconsin, recently re-cently won the Grammy Award for best Native American Artist and has toured with Pearl Jam, the Bodeans and Tori Amos. His music, including 10 critically criti-cally acclaimed albums, blends Native American music with western folk and blues music.
