Ballif. dean at the Brlgham Young University, will give the third in the series of lectures Teaching Your Child About Sex" being sponsored by the Adult Education department Of the Alpine School District and the Parent-Teachers Association. Subject of Dr. Ballif s talk Jan. 17, will be "The Burning Curiosity Curiosi-ty to Know." The course is being held in the Utah Power & light auditorium each Wednesday at 7:30 p m. Bderettes Mrs. June Ash, Pleasant Grove, was hostess to the Elderettes Thursday evening. The lesson was presented by Mrs. Paul Mechara and refreshments were served to 14 ladies. DUP Meetings Adams Camp Interesting stories centered around the "Mormons In Mexico were given by Mrs. A. Q. Harris in presenting the lesson to the Adams camp, DVP, Thursday Mrs. Bert, Durrant assisted. Mrs Leo T. Hansen, captain, gave the histories of four children. Ed ward, Apollus, Eleanor and Mary Thornton, who died enroute to Utah with their parents Oliver and Mary Oriswald Thornton. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Dick Bassett with Mrs. Sidney Tomlinson and Mrs Mary Tidwell assisting in serving refreshments. American Fork Camp History of Elizabeth Johnson Bourne, pioneer of 1849, was read at the meeting of the American Fork Camp and Mrs John A. Wagstaff gave the lesson with contributions by the mem bers. Relva Booth Ross, Mrs. Hans Chrtstensen and Mrs. John A Wagstaff were named as nom inating committee for the camp March election. Hie meeting was held in the Utah Power Si Light auditorium with the of fleers. Mrs. Raymond E. Monson, Mrs. David Warnlck. Mrs. Ada W Barratt and Mrs. Chrtstensen as hostesses. Bee Hive Camp History of Elizabeth Bray Shelley, who was drowned in the Mississippi River enroute from England to Nauvoo, was read at the meeting" of the Bee Hive Camp by Mrs. Russell Thompson, her great-granddaughter. Minnie Min-nie I. Hodapp gave the lesson "The Mormons in Mexico" and Mrs. Robert Stephenson gave two readings. Mrs. Stephenson and Mrs. May Preston were special visitors. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Thompson with Mrs. Earl Ferguson Fergu-son and Mrs. Owen V. Oreen assisting as-sisting hostesses. The bride elect served in her freshman year at the Y as a Cougarette and Is a member of Val Norn social unit. At the Spanish Fork High School where she graduated she was a class officer and president of the Pep Club. The prospective groom is pres ident of the Blue Key national honorary service fraternity and served one year as chairman of T Day. Re is affiliated with the Brlgldiers. At the American Fork High School he was active in journalism, forensics and music. He served a mission In the Southern States for the LDS Church.
