Miss Dora Jane Hendricks, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mazle Nash, Betty Nelson, Jan ice Chlpman, Jeannlne Winter, LouCille Turner, and Carol Beck strand, all of American Fork Their pastel frocks were enhan ced with half circles of salmon and white asters and carnations. Richard Seastrand assumed best man duties for his brother and James K. Seastrand, anoth er brother, stood with his moth er, Mrs. E. J. Seastrand. Mrs. Gunnell chose to wear dusty rose lace and Mrs. Sea strand appeared in gray. Carna tions and contrasting roses made up their corsages. Mrs. Eldon J. Miller, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Russell Hendricks, aunt of the bride, were receptionists; Mrs. J. L. Deans ( Geneivee Seastrand , cared for the guest book, and Mrs. Bertha Hendricks and Mrs W. Z. Harris, aunts of the bride, had cnarge of the gift rooms. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Gareth Seastrand, Mrs. Chet Holmberg, Mrs. Bruce Ev ans and Miss Carol Simmons The wedding cake was cut and served by the bride and groom. The couple was married Aug. 14, in the Salt Lake temple with President Robert I. Burton per forming the ceremony. Accomp aning them were their parents, Mrs. Holmberg, Mrs. Harris, Mrs Bertha Harris, James K. Sea strand and Dale Stelner. Following the ceremony the mother of the groom was assis ted by her daughters In serving a wedding breakfast at the Gun nell home. After a few days honeymoon at Brighton new Mr. and Mrs Seastrand are making a home in American Fork. Moyle Parker will claim for his bride Miss Deane Case, Provo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case, Mount Emmons. Mr. Parker is an of Mr. and Mrs? Ernest M. Parker. Parents of the bride, mother of the groom, and Mrs. Thomas Binns, an aunt of the jjroom, will accompany the young couple to the temple. Tomorrow evening at Mount Emmons, Mr. and Mrs. Case will be hosts for a reception complimenting their daughter and new son-in-law. The bride will greet guests in a floor length model of nylon net and lace fashioned with tiered skirt,, with lace trim, lace fitted bodice with long sleeves and high pointed collar. Her fingertip veil of lace edged net will be held in place by a low crown of matching lace and she will carry a bouquet of a single purple throated orchid and stephanotis. Following a wedding trip the young couple will make a home in American Fork where the groomvis head of the industrial arts department at the high school. ' New Mrs. Parker graduated from the Altamont High School and attended the Brigham Young University. At present she is bookkeeper at Wasden Motor Sales in Provo. Mr. Parker graduated from Utah State Agricultural College with an industrial arts major. Carol Greenwood Is Surprised Thursday night the home of Carolyn Walter was the scene of a happy surprise party for Carol Greenwood who was celebrating cele-brating her birthday. Barbara Lee and Barbara Bailey were assisting as-sisting hostesses. Oames were played and refreshments served to Carol Roberts, Karen Hug-gard, Hug-gard, Kala Mae Briggs, Maryl Ingersoll, Mary Monson, Berna Dee Henry, Patricia Jones, Jo-layne Jo-layne Buckwalter, Beverly Devey, Vivien Hunter and Helen Bailey of Price. Stake Authorities Quarterly social for Alpine Stake authorities and their wives was held Monday evening in the Alpine Ward Recreation Hall. Hosts were President and Mrs. Edward W. Burgess, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Pulley, Mr. and Mrs. Willard R. Cleghorn, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowen. The tables were centered with bowls of double fringed petunias and miniature wishing wells which contained wishes for those whose birthdays occurr during July, August and September. The delicious turkey dinner was fol lowed by a short program with Mr. Bowen as master of cere monies. Mrs. Ted Barratt gave Al Jol- son impersonations, Seth J. Lar sen, humorous readings, and Mrs. Clare B. Christensen read original origi-nal birthday tributes to Mr. and Mrs. Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. Frank O. Shelley, Mrs. Francis B. Abel, Mrs. A. B. Allen, Mrs. J. Stanley Peters and Mr. Christensen, whose birthday came in the quarter. At the close of the evening all were presented with baskets of peaches. Dr. Neil Borden, who teaches advertising at the graduate school of business, Harvard University, Uni-versity, visited several days recently re-cently at the home of his brother-in-law 'and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clen Saunders. Dr. Border, his wife and daughter Penny are making a tour of the northern part of the United States. Reglsteration will begin at 2 pjn. and at the same time games and sports for the children will be carried on by Mrs. Harry McTague and Mrs. Marion W. Robinson. At 4 p.m. there will be a short program and election of officers. Appearing on the program will be Miss Lavon Brown, Provo, queen of "Days of AT", a dance number by Renee Chilton, ac-cordian ac-cordian numbers by LaRae Robinson, Rob-inson, impersonations by Mrs. Ted Barratt, and a solo by Clare B. Christensen. Picnic supper will be served at 5 pm. with each family pro viding its own and the com mittee furnishing free soft drinks. An evening bonfire party will conclude the day. OLD SCHOOL FRIENDS VISIT MRS. MONSON Mrs. Henry Swenson (Earlene Barratt, Mrs. George Edmonds (Fern Barratt) and Mrs. Jay Bolt (Vera Shipley), old school friends, and Mrs. Jesse L. Rus- son (lone Smith), a sister all of Salt Lake City, were guests all day Wednesday of Mrs. Ray mond E. Monson. The group had not all been together for 35 years. Dr. and Mrs. Curtis B. Chip- man, Terry and Diane came from Washington, D. C, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred M. Pulley (Ber-nelce) (Ber-nelce) and Allen, flew in Sunday morning from Sunnyside, Wash. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Mark Chipman, Marlene and Jimmy, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. May (Mildred) and Joseph R. Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Laursen, Billy and VardelL Mr. and Mrs. Alma Bourne, all of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Brian D. She is now making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Laursen.
