Miss Marianne Ford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Ford, Los Angeles. The couple were married In Los Angeles on August 5. For her wedding the bride wore an exquisite model of nylon marquisette. mar-quisette. The lull length train was edged with lace which was repeated In bands down the skirt. The deep tucked yoke of the bodice was buttoned to a high neckline finished with a Peter Pan collar. Her fingertip veil of Illusion fell from a circlet of pearls and she carried a crescent of white gladiolas. Miss Patricia Ford, sister of the bride, was her only attendant and Albert GalLsky performed best man duties. After a short honeymoon at Santa Barbara, the young married mar-ried couple are making a home in Los Angeles. Mr. Willis graduated from the American Fork high school before be-fore he entered the United States navy where he served for three years. He Is now employed at Van De Komp's Bakery, Los Angeles. The new Mrs. Willis attended schools In the coast city and is now head bookkeeper in the Los Angeles branch Bank of America Lela Mae Adams, who is employed em-ployed in Salt Lake City, spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. Pearl A. Woffinden. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Robinson and family spent Saturday at the Utah State Fair. Mar lead in the worship which was followed by the lesson, busi ness, and movie slides of Bryce, Zlon, and Tosemite National Parks. To top the evening off, refreshments were served to thirty-five young people and advisors. Last Friday night, Sept. 22, the Westminster Fellowship enjoyed a hayride. Upon returning to the church, Mrs. George Molascon, Mrs. Dick Wilson and Mrs. Walter McMillan served hot chili to help thaw us out. Everyone who attended at-tended had a wonderful time. Jean Biggs and Stanley Burch to Wed Descendants of George and Mary Wrlgley Cunningham, American Fork pioneers of 1856, were paid honor Sunday, Sept. 17, when more than 100 persons met at the Roberts Hollow on Dry Creek for an afternoon of visiting and organization. Present were three of the four living daughters of the pioneers, Mrs. Nellie Irving. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Alfred (Lillle) Roberts, Lehl; Mrs. Daniel H. (Eve) Jorgenson, American Fork. Absent was Mrs. Mary Webb who was too ill to attend. Mr. and Mrs. B1U Loveless, Salt Lake City, acted as general chairmen and at the election Mr. Loveless was elected president. Other officers are Ross Cunning ham, American Fork, and Drew Jorgenson, Ogden, vice presl dents, and Mrs. Fern Preston, American Fork, secretary. Com mittee members will be chosen In the near future. Games, a picnic supper and a bonfire party completed the day's activities. George. Cunningham, a native of Scotland, came to Utah at the age of ten yeam with his parents, par-ents, Robert and Elizabeth Nicholson Nich-olson Cunningham,Hfconverts to the LDS churcn. He was always active In educational affairs and served for many years as school trustee. He was also mayor and city councilman. Mrs. Cunningham was tne daughter of John and Mary Wil kinson Wrlgley, also early con verts to the church. The wedding Is being planned for mid-October and Mr. and Mrs. Holley will hold open house the evening following- for friends of the popular couple. Miss Biggs graduated with the class of 1950 from the American Fork high school where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the girl's basketbaU team. She has held the position of secretary for the Second ward YWMIA for the past two seasons. Mr. Burch, son of the late Claud and Mrs. Annie Burch, Is a graduate of the high school and is engaged in farming. He' has served in the Second ward as Scoutmaster and coach of the M Men basketball team. At present pres-ent he is superintendent of the YMMIA. They wlU make a home In American Fork. Oeorge Ovard, left Saturday for his home In McOrath, Alberta, Al-berta, Canada, after visiting for two months with relatives in Utah and California. Fall flowers and fruits centered the tables where covers were placed for 22 ladies. A short business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Mark Coddington, presl dent. Programs were distributed distribut-ed by the committee members, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Orson M. Slack. Assisting with the break fast were Mrs. Coddington. Mrs, Guy S. Richards, Mrs. Kenneth W. A son of Alphonso and Eliza beth Chadwick Greene, eariy American Fork pioneers, he was born in American Fork Sept. 20, 1870. Most of his life has been spent here where he followed the occupation of farming until he retired a few years ago. Mav 7. 1902, he was married to Emily Adamson and they lived on the farm between American rone and Lehl now operated by Ellis Taft. In addition to their children, all of whom were present at the dinner, they have 16 grandchil dren and two great-grandchildren, President and Mrs. Edward W Burgess, Alpine, were assisted by Mr. and MrsDelbert Chlpman and Mr. and Mrs. Albert B. Allen Friday night in entertaining members of the Alpine stake high council, the patriarchs and their wives.
