Parents of the bride accompanied ac-companied them. Friday evening the newly wedded, wed-ded, couple received congratulations congratula-tions from 200 relatives and friends at a reception in the Lehi First ward chapel. White crepe with a lace bodice fashioned in the new pencil silhouette sil-houette was worn by the bride Her fingertip veil was caught to a crown of seed pearls and her only ornament was a three-strand three-strand pearl necklace. Red roses encircling a white orchid made up her bouquet. Attendants, Miss Beth Thornton, Thorn-ton, sister of the groom, maid of honor, Miss Lillian Strong. Miss Laurel Willis and Miss Ila Duns-don, Duns-don, all were in white with bouquets bou-quets of carnations and white sweet pea's. Mrs. Larson wore black crepe and Mrs. Thornton, mother of the groom, was attired in poudre blue. Their corsages were gardenias. gar-denias. Lester Thornton was best man for his brother. The wedding party .stood before be-fore the fireplace between tall palms-and calla lilies, the latter a gift from the bride's aunt Mrs. M. H. Wright, ElMonte, CaL The serving table, lace covered, had a three-tier wedding Ake for a center piece with tall white tapers tap-ers on either side. All the windows of the room were light ed by cathedral candles. Music was furnlsned oy miss Vervene Sorpnson, Robert Ora-ham. Ora-ham. Mclvin Bushman, and Miss Norene Felt. Accompanists were Miss Phyllis Fox and Miss Beth Bushman. George A. Larson, Og-den, Og-den, gave a reading and dancing completed . the evening, H. W. Barnes was master of ceremonies. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mecham, American Fork, had charge of the guest book; Mr. and Mrs. John Southwlck were receptionists, reception-ists, gifts were received by Little Misses Patsy Larson and Cleo Thornton while Mrs." Don Dicker- son. Miss Beth Bushman and Miss Ruby Bone had charge of the gift room. Presiding over the refreshments were Mrs. John Bushman. Mrs. Millen Kirkham and Mrs. L. W. Lehmberg, who were assisted by Wanda Little-ford, Little-ford, Marilyn . Anderson, Arleen Carson and Lorraine Carlson. The new Mr. and Mrs. Thorn-' ton left Saturday for a honeymoon honey-moon trip to California which will Include a visit with Mrs. Wright, aunt of the bride. On their return they will be at home in the Bank apartments. Lehi. DAY-PACE WEDDING ANNOUNCED GREENE-PARKER ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Day, Highland, High-land, are announcing the marriage mar-riage of their daughter Miss Fern Lucinda Day. and Jerry De- lane Pace, son of Mr. and, Mrs, Alma Pace, Highland. Vows were exchanged March 25 in Provo. Parents of the bride are en tertaining at an informal wedding wed-ding dance in the Highland ward house Monday evening. April 5. No' invitations are being Issued but friends and relatives of the families are all invited . to attend. at-tend. Both Mr. Pace and his bride are juniors at the high school. They will make a home In Highland High-land where the groom is purchasing purchas-ing property preparatory to building a home. FEATHERSTONE-NAYLOR RECEPTION VIRGINIA ROBERTS MARRIES Mr. and Mrs. Archie W. Greene. American Fork, are announcing the engagement of their daughter daugh-ter Donna to Ellis S. Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis M. Parker, also of American Fork. A fall wedding Is being planned. Miss Greene graduated from the local high school in 1947 and since has been employed by the telephone company. Mr. Parker, a 1944 graduate, is engaged in farming. Miss Virginia Roberts, a daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Mable Roberts, became be-came the bride of Dennis Rowley of American Fork Monday, March 22. The ceremony was performed perform-ed at Elko, Nevada. Mrs. Odell Jacobs, sister to the bride, accompanied ac-companied her there. Family members gathered for good wishes at a 'dinner Tues day evening at the Richard Roberts Rob-erts home.. Covers were laid for the honored couple, Mrs. Mable Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Forestler and Mr. and Mrs. Odell Jacobs. The new Mrs. Rowley is a graduate of the Lehi high school and Mr. Rowley of the American Fork high school. He is employed employ-ed at the Geneva Steel Plant. The bride was lovely In a gown of white satin, entrain, with three-quarter length veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and gardenias. Miss Wilma Gill-um. Gill-um. . maid . of honor, and Miss Juanita Featherstone. sister of the bride, both wore white, and Miss Merle Stone and Miss Ar lene Featherstone. another sister, bridesmaids, were in blue. Their bouquets were gardenias with pink carnations. Mother of the bride was at tired in blue with a corsage of gardenias and roses. Arthur Shield stood as best man. Cllve Beal acted as master of ceremonies for the program. Music waS furnished by Miss Vio let Nielsen, Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Greenland, Highland, uncle and aunt of the bride. Dancing completed the evening. Mrs. James B. Grace. Mrs Merrill J, Robinson. American Fork, and Miss Martha Green land, Highland, presided over the refreshments which were served to 150 guests. Mrs. James W. Grace, Lehi. and Mrs. Albert Merlkofer, Alpine, aunts of the bride, had charge of the gift room. The young couple left Saturday Satur-day for a short honeymoon in California. Both are students at the University of Utah. They will make a home in East Mill Creek. VIRGINIA WARDEN PECTOL HONORED AT PARTY Wednesday. March 17, was the date chosen for a delightful party honoring Mrs. Byron Pec-tol Pec-tol (Virginia Warden) a recent bride. Miss Donna Russon was hostess at the Rulon Russon home, at a miscellaneous shower. The St. Patrick's Day theme was carried out in refreshments and decorations. Two members of the general board of the MIA were present and discussed with the officers of the assembled stakes - the musical program planned for the MIA June con ference In Salt Lake.
