The lace covered dinner table had for centerpiece a crystal basket of sweetpeas and matcmng noiaers with cream taDers. Present were Mr. and Mrs. David E. Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Varney, Mr. and Mrs. John Varney, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Froelick and Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Varney. Following dinner din-ner 500 was enjoyed with the Froellcks winning the prizes. Mr. Bate was presented with a handsome hand-some gift from his assembled friends. At the conclusion of the First ward officers monthly preparation prepara-tion meeting Monday evening the Bishopric and their wives entertained en-tertained the 60 present at a social. Games and stunts were much enjoyed and refreshments served. A snowball fight was announced announc-ed as the final stunt but the snowballs proved to be puffed rice balls. Later they gathered at the home of Miss Miriam Harrineton for a 'Pot Luck,, party. Discussion centered center-ed around the various theatres of war and the local boys in each area. In attendance were Mrs. Joseph Mulllner and Mrs. Don B.
