Mrs. Mary Wynn of Salt Lake City is visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Parduhn. Mrs. Lloyd Briggs was removed to the Lot Robinson home here Wednesday. Wed-nesday. She underwent a major operation op-eration recently at the Lehi hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Christofferson of Salt Lake City are the parents of a baby girl, born Monday. Mrs. Christofferson is the former rtfva Morse of this city. Mrs. Nells and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hen-ry Parduhn of Idaho Palls, Idaho, are visiting relatives here this week. Mrs. Sidney W. Nlcholes entertained enter-tained the ladles' auxiliary of the Woolgrowers' association at her home here Wednesday afternoon. Games were played ana the hostess served a delicious luncheon. Fifteen attended. The Second ward Genealogical class held their meeting at the home of Mrs. Bertha Sagers Monday evening, February' 6. After the classwork. ice cream and cake were served. Fourteen attended. Mrs. Sager will leave soon for California. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Earl made a trip to Salt Lake City Sunday to visit Mr. Earl's sister, Mrs. Herbert Wright, at the L. D. S. hospital. Mrs. Wright recently underwent a major operation at the hospital. The Alpine stake Primary board held a meeting and social Monday night, Mrs. Joseph Marsh of Alpine, stake president, being the hostess. An enjoyable time was repted by the board members attending. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Carter of Las Vegas, Nevada, are visiting relatives here, being guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adair Bromley. Widdoes extended ex-tended birthday greetings to the 95-year-old Civil War veteran, when open house was held at the Widdoes home Saturday. Nearly 100 people called during the day. The American Legion, post 49, marked the anniversary by sending an artistically-decorated birthday cake. In honor of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Rushton of Idaho Falls, Idaho, who visited here this week, a party was given by Mrs. Ernest Parker Tuesday Tues-day night. Members of the family were In attendance. Walker attended a "Welcome to Zion" party at Zion's park, Saturday, January 28. The dinner-dance was in honor hon-or of Paul R. Franke, new superintendent superin-tendent of Zion's and Bryce canyon national parks and the national monuments in this area. Mr. and Mrs. Walker motored to Southern Utah Saturday, returning Sunday. The Alpine ward Gold and Green ball which was held Thursday evening eve-ning of last week proved very successful, suc-cessful, and a large crowd attended. The gymnasium was decorated with green and gold paper and balloons. Miss La Von Brown, who was escorted es-corted by Evan Bair, made a very beautiful queen. She was dressed in pale green silk. She was attended attend-ed by Miss Maxine Moyle, who was escorted by William Watkins. Miss Moyle was dressed in blue silk. Miss Mary Dunsdon, escorted by Ross Burgess, was dressed in pink silk. George Brown was the page; Raona Bates, crown bearer; Ada May Wilde and Irene Bennett, train-bearers; and Juanita Strong and June Dunsdon, Duns-don, flower girls. Under direction of Mrs. Warren P. Anderson Ander-son and Mrs. Bate, class leaders, the girls cooked and served the meal. The decorations and menu carried out the Valentine's day theme. The pledging of Miss Donna Lou Davis to membership in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority has been announced by the University of Utah chapter of the organization. Kenneth Shoell was removed to his home Saturday. Victim of an automobile-sleigh accident some time ago, he was reported to be in "fair" condition at the time of his release from the hospital.
