The most thrilling experience m the life of Miss Oennleve Fugal oc curred last Sunday, when a party consisting of Nanleve Owen, .Ouy Callahan and Donald Frisby, all of Provo, and Miss Fugal of this city, went to Rock Island, 8 miles southwest south-west of Provo, In a motor boat. The party, bound for a short trip to study the birds and formations of Rock Island, left Provoian beach at 11 a m. and proceeded in a leisurely way to the Island. Shortly after beaching their boat and beginning their exploration trip of the Island heavy winds came up. In an attempt to drag their boat up a channel so that It would not be crashed to pieces on the rocks Calla han suffered a severe cut on the left leg when he stepped In a hole and fell on a sharp rock. -The wind was so high they dare not attempt the return trip. .They gathered fire wood and built a barri- cade of rocks to protect themselves A large and appreciative audience from the cold.
