Johnson visited with relatives at Provo oa Tuesday. -7- Gold Star Mother 1 Answers Last Call 1- Mary Drtggs Roblson," 74,-daughter j of pioneers, 8hadrack and tUlxa Drtggs, passed away at her " home Thursday morning from old age and general debility. She waa a Gold Star, Mother having sent two ton to the late World War, one of whom died In France. She also sent a son to the Spanish-American war. ' She was the first child born in the Ltndon ward, the dais being, January , 18G5. On June 2, 1871 h waa married to Louis R. Roblson, who passed Vway in 1917. -- Mra Robinson waa a member of the Old Folk committee for many year and an active church worker all of her life. ' At the time of her death, she was the literary class lead er in the First Ward Relief Society. She has been a Relief Society teacher for many year. She was the mother of seven child ren live of whom survive as follows: Millie R Poulson. Ella R. William, Rhoda R. Stagg of Pleasant Grove, John L. Roblson of Yakami, Washington, Washing-ton, and Harold D. Roblson working for the government In. the Department of Foreign and Domestic Commerce at Shanghai, China. Twenty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Robinson ha lived alona in her comfortable little home on Depot street and had one of her grandchildren grand-children stay with her at night, for the past many year. Tuesday morn ing she complained of not being in the best of health. Her daughter. Mrs. Millie Poulson came and remained remain-ed at her mother' side until death took her Thursday. To her friends she has seemed like a frall piece of rare china, for the past few years. She waa a wonderful mother and home maker, loved by her neighbors and her many friends. Funeral service will be held at Sunday, April 14, at 12 o'clock in the Timpanogos Stake Tabernacle. Complete Roster of Medical Detach ment of Field Artillery Named. Funeral Services For , ; Old Resident Held Funeral service were held Sunday afternoon at 1 p. m. in the Timpanogos Timpano-gos Stake tabernacle ' for Coraellu Baxter, old time realdent of Pleasant Grove, who died at hi home Friday morning, April 5, after an illness of about two years. Bishop B. H. Adams conducted the service. ' The speakers were Ezra F. Walker and Patriarch 6. I Swenson. Musical numbers were rendered a follow : Plano solo, Jennie Gleason ; M Mens quartette, Eldon Brinley, Anton Gleason, Raymond Peterson, Eugene Nelson; violin solos, "Come to Me" and -The Old Refrain," R. EL Mbffett accompanied by Mrs. Moffett; vocal duet "Unanswered Yet" Beth Blackwell and Miss Margaret Whlt-tingham; Whlt-tingham; quartette, "Come - TJnto Jesus." - The Invocation was by Joseph H. Adams and the benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by Thomas A. Atkinson. Interment was in Pleasant Grove City cemetery, -where-tha grave-waa dedicated by Joseph Olpln. Cornelius Baxter a born In Glasgow, Glas-gow, Scotland, MarchJTth, 1848. He was married to Elizabeth Kelly, April 17, 1865, at Nackerty. ' They came to America in 187S on the ship "Wyoming." In crossing the ocean they, had some very trying experiences. ex-periences. The ship ran Into Sable Island, and six sailor were drowned In an effort to reach the lighthouse. They were finally rescued. They had dumped most of their cargo Into the ocean o jthaJLtheyflould Jloat,the Ship. 1 " .- '. ;' . . On arriving In Utah they settled at Coalville for three years, then came to Prov Bench and claim the distinction distinc-tion of being among it first settler. Sixteen years later '.they came to Pleasant Grove, where . they 'have Bince resided. They were the parents of twelve children, six of whom survive sur-vive besides the aged wife..Two grandchildren and thirty-five greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren also survive. A. Annual Green and Gold Ball The queen and her Imperial court lent dignity to tha occasion, and made th dance as unusual affair. The Cotillion dancers all did well.
