Mozart's genius reached into every musical form and his last symphonies are among the most popular. The "Abduction from the Seraglio" was completed in 1782; listed by Mozart's famed cataloger Koechel as No. 384. It is an opera in three parts, one of 22 he wrote, the first of which was written when the composer was just 10 years old. Chopin's Concerto in E minor for Piano and Orchestra, one of two piano concerlos he wrote, has three movements and adheres closely to the classical concerto model. The third movement, the Vivace, is perhaps the most charming and certainly the most Chopinesque of the three. The wit and playfulness so often and so happily found in Chopin's music are evident here. Bartok's Suite from the "Miraculous Mandarin" is his most olatjorate score for full orchestra. This pantomime in one act was composed during 1918-19 to a "lurid" scenario by Menyhert l-cngyel and was banned for a half-dozen half-dozen years as a stage work. The ballet is about a wanton woman who lures passers-by to her room, where they are mugged by thugs who are her cohorts.
