The blinding flash of lightning and the ten-ilk- clap of thunder which followed immediately brought the inhabitants in-habitants of this city upright in bed about U.30 o'clock Sunday morning. In commenting upon the roar many were heard to remark they thought it was an explosion. For a few moments a sever electric storm played over the city followed by a downpour of rain. The first flash of lightning struck close to the Lovelady place in the Fourth ward, breaking most of the windows in the house Including two large ones in front.
